There is only one public detox centre in my city. If I had private health insurance all would change

I hope you find the strength you need to quit! Brain damage is no laughing matter! I worry if it has effected your brain, what other damage it has done! Also in Ireland there is no way a doctor would allow you to detox at home! Do you live with family?

It's a common thing here. Some people have to taper with no help

Is there family you could stay with or a friend that come stay with you while you detox? You definitely wouldn’t drink while taking benzodiazepine would you??

No I wouldn't. Last time I looked like I had been beaten up after I mixed them. Think I fell off the bed. I will try to stay with someone. Thanks for your help.

Please do! It’s unsafe to do it on your own! Are you still drinking now? I hope you’re okay!

I am still drinking. Crying too. It's so great to talk about the problem. Just drinking very slowly.

Please don’t cry.... if you need to talk, I will listen! Don’t think I’ll have much advice or answers (I’m only new to all this) but I will listen! All I ask is please don’t drive the car and keep yourself and others safe x

It is 9pm here. She goes to bed early. Good idea though.

It's ok. Not planning on driving. I am not sure what the problem is except that I feel so alone. Lost in a big world with billions of people. I have spent way too much on alcohol. I have the money but it was designated for the house.

Is there a local meet up you could join? Isolation is not nice if you’re feeling a little low! X
