Class of February 2018 Support Thread Pt 1
Yes, Dusty!! We got this! I love all the support on this site. Thanks Dee! I also was not able to see the moon! Dang it ;(
Hey Sober! So proud of you, i know how hard it is starting and then falling down. I think it’s not important how many times you fall down but that you don’t stop picking yourself back up and trying.
I hope that your day goes amazing, and I think that this quote from Jon Krakauers book “Into the Wild” might help everyone get through today with a little positivity:
”I read somewhere... how important it is in life, not necessarily to be strong, but to feel strong.”

This is Day 5. I had an epileptic seizure this morning - not alcohol related - so am having a nothing sort of rest day, just lying on the sofa, eating, watching TV, being on the computer.
Doing nothing is allowed today. But whatever, I certainly won't be drinking.

Good morning Feb Friends!
Taplow, sorry to hear about your seizure but yes, enjoy your day of relaxing and recovering.
Dusty, didn’t see the moon. Keep howling.......it’s way better than drinking.
Welcome all! I look forward to posting with you the entire month of Feb. Good day!

Good morning everyone! Welcome to the new friends!
I am on Day 18 and loving it! I think I've made it through the worst of it now. The nightmares are rare, the sweats are gone...the cravings come and go with certain small triggers, but so far have not been overwhelming or hard to fight off if I put my mind on something else.
To all of you just starting out: It is worth it. Stay the course. When you feel like giving up remember why you started. And make the next 24 hours count!

Hello,
I'd like to join this class. I've gone months and months without drinking, but I always seem to end up back at square one. I found this site and thought, the support perhaps might give me more tools to quit for good.
Thanks,
SU

Hello everyone!
Back to day 1 for me, and it's going to be my last. I can't keep going down the rabbit hole. I'm going to post daily, work more hours and pick up a few hobbies to stay busy. Let's make February the month we fall in love...with ourselves!!!

Hi. If you all don’t mind, I’d like to join the February group despite my 1/29 sobriety date. Today is just day 4. Feeling pretty good; just tired. My drink of choice is whiskey, Canadian to be exact. I don’t have a bunch of wild and crazy booze stories, just too many empty bottles and too much wasted time. I think I’ve got more to accomplish than that! Hope to get to know everyone, take and offer support, and finally put this thing to bed!
Today was a bit rough, had an incident at work that spiked a lot of stress and insecurity which really made me want to say “Screw it, I’m not worth it, why even bother trying to quit drinking. Just get some wine and forget these uncomfortable feelings you’re experiencing”, but then I realized nothing would feel better than waking up tomorrow and being on day 4. Let’s go February!
