I don't understand why I can set my phone down next to me on the bed and have my signal go away completely and pick it up and recover a full signal and receive incoming text messages. What's one foot? What's blocking it?

Sao, great intro as always. Also, even though I live in Canada these days I still think of London as my city, so naturally I was appalled to see what happened the other day in Westminster. So senseless and barbaric. But Londoners are a naturally defiant people, and I know the city will bounce back. Glad you're okay.
Ive made it to Day 47, I never thought starting out I would make it nearly this far. I'm locked in for the weekend with the (man) flu, so going to be laying low. Not drinking has been a constant battle, especially given how stressful work has become. I've only ventured into a pub a couple of times and found it quite boring watching everyone else drinking. Some people have remarked at how boring I've become since I've stopped drinking, but I have definitely detected a tone of begrudging respect from others.
Anyway, I hope everyone is well.
Bixbee are you out there? How're you holding up?

Hi, weekenders.
I've had some very strange issues logging at SR this week. Long story - I will probably pm Dee about this due to unlikeliness of this happening to any other member (intrigued, hah?).
I've found some way around and taking a chance to read the thread.
Thank you for the thread, Sao!
See you)

I am in.
And happy birthday MrM !
Just a quick check-in as I have been reading everyones weekender posts. I think we are very fortunate to have the sober recovery forum to connect. I am certain this has life saving in many, many cases. I would feel very alone in my journey without a connection to others with similar struggles and achievements.
I hope everyone has a healthy, happy and sober weekend.

Yawny McYawnersons. Cat woke me up with that gagging noise that you know isn't going to end well. . .where are my slippers?
I hope everyone made it through this Friday night sober. I know sometimes people have a problem after some big drinking event that they made it through without drinking - so being a week past St. Pats, well. If you did drink last night, that's no reason to keep it going today or tonight. There is lots of life out there waiting to be enjoyed sober. Jump on in to this thread and post. It helps.
I wouldn't give up sober mornings for anything. It's my favorite thing.
Now that the rug is spot-cleaned.

Sunshine, I saw your little typo too, it provided the morning giggle
Welcome to all the newcomers, plenty of room on this bus
Bix, thinking of you and hope all is well.
SAH, I don't know if it's appropriate to say but I am so proud of you. I hope you didn't drink when you left the hospital but stop and realize this. You came here and posted BEFORE you drank! That's such a big step. Keep doing that! My thoughts are with you and I hope everything turned out ok.
Off to get groceries and start the day. Sponsor meeting at 11 or noon. Then, driving my car anywhere and everywhere I can think of!
Have a great sober Saturday everyone!

bb- yep . I think I got it right. The Brit govt had a public competition for the name of a new ship to be used for replacing an aging one for Antarctic supplies, research etc. The name Boaty Mc Boatface was a winner- but was put on a DRV instead- not dignified enough.
