Hi Marker. First time I'm reading your thread today. You need to stop! No one on here can save you from this destructive path you are on, but there is clearly some good advice and a lot of love coming your way. You can choose to either accept it or continue to drink. There is hope for everyone. Even though everyone on here seems to have it together, that is not always the case. We all have our own demons we are fighting. You do not have to quit life before a miracle happens. I have a lot of baggage when it comes to suicide and it always seems to get better when you turn away from your own ways (if that makes any sense).

Unless you stop drinking, you will go on this rollercoaster of feeling decent, to feeling terrible. Your sober posts tell me you are okay and then your drunk posts tell me your giving up. This clearly shows that alcohol is messing with your mind. I'm not going to tell you to not do it, because a ton of people have done that already and it seems to be in vain after you start drinking. I am however going to tell you to give yourself a fair chance at life and try sobriety. Sobriety is not only for those with hope, but it is also for the hopeless, homeless, scared, lonely and suicidal individuals. My posts my not be as touchy feely like the others, but I do care and I think it's time for you to make some serious changes to get better and give life a chance. For goodness sake, give yourself a chance. I'm sure you're an amazing person and that life just hasn't been fair to you. You got this, but you have to want it bad enough.

I'm sorry to hear you're drinking and low again Marker.

I hope you've reached out for some help - I think doing that, and making changes based on the advice you get, might be the way to end this cycle?

Marker, you sound like me when I'm drunk. Okay or even euphoric to miserable in a flash. The thing is, that misery always hits and the euphoria isn't real. It only leads to more misery when we're done drinking because it comes with disinhibition and just downright wacky behavior.

I hope you read this whole thread in a few days when you feel better (I hate being "talked to" when I'm in that state... I know it all to well).

Marker, remember when you were making progress, how better you felt about yourself, even if it was tough?

Those times can return tenfold and more with sobriety. I too have suicidal ideation when I drink. It's not like that today because I'm sober. I mean there's no law that says we've got to drink.

please stop drinking it one day at a time.
i have a few months now and i was constantly relapsing and wanting to die.
today i don't and my brain is healing.
please just drink water juice and take vitamins for a while and see if you feel less suicidal.

Hi Marker,

Alcohol is a depressant. I could be the most well put together, professional, happy go lucky person until I went on a bender. Then every single problem that I had became magnified 100x over through the lense of alcohol. Those thoughts of just wanting to die are not real. They're the alcohol talking.

Get up today, drink a ton of h20, eat what you can, binge on netflix and clear your head for a few days. Pick up yourself up, dust yourself off and join the land of the living again. Join us here on SR - we've ALL felt this way. It's not a REAL feeling. It's the devil alcohol taking over your mind.
