Congrats, Melina.

Brynn, nothing beats a truly good tomato. Worth the price, lol. What my husband calls a tomato ain't a real tomato.

Tetra, I haven't known you that long but, it is amazing how far you have come. You seem very confident with yourself and your abilities. Workplaces will be like your anywhere you go, it's best to do what you've been doing. Don't get caught up in the drama and do your job the best you can.

Congratulations Melina.

I don't mind kids being kids, I don't like when parents let the kids run wild.

Night Sao and Ken

That's fun piano, Mesa. My grandfather could play a few boogie-woogie tunes on the piano. He would 'bang' them out. I was always amazed. It seemingly came from nowhere, lol. I was fascinated with the piano at an early age. That was probably why.

Congratulations Melina! that's great news.

I missed a bunch on here. Went to yoga and I'm now sitting on the back porch because it's too loud in the house. Marty, you aren't alone in that. And I'm not an only child. I've just gotten to the stage where a lot of background noise makes me crazy.

Time for ice cream. I was going to make tuna macaroni salad but it's 9:45 so I'll do it tomorrow. That's the best thing to eat when it's horribly hot outside. At least it's cooling off tonight. Round Two of the heat tomorrow

Who Elton John says was one of his Heros. The Song kicks a few Minutes in...

- 'Don't Try To Lay No Boogie Woogie On The King Of Rock & Roll' ~ Long John Baldry -

Some kinda Fruit 'thang' later, thanks to an insane number of Apricots and Peaches picked off some Trees in back of MesaMate's Pal's Pilates Studio. Apricot Jam goin' on in the Crock Pot. Sea Bass + Salad was Dinner. I've had my Eye on a Super Insulated Chest Freezer at Home Despot, and likely will buy it this Weekend. That, and we're gonna pop for a Dehydrator. We're maxed out on Fruit Storage.
.
Got us a good one goin' on right now in gorgeous, cool Temps...

Morning everyone,

Congratulations Melina that is good to read. It will be comforting to have an income. As Tetra says, when you have a bad day you can always think of the money

Thanks for the Long John Baldry track Mesa.

He once talked Elton John (or to be accurate Reg Dwight as he still was then) out of committing suicide over trouble with his relationship with a woman, Elton not being out at this stage and indeed went on to marry a German woman Renate Bluale in the 1980s "to please his mum"

Long John B worked with just about every British artist in the 60's including the Beatles and the Stones

See you guys next on the new thread

Just home from work! 12:50 am....
Loooooong day, but a fun and productive day!
Been up since early- gotta wind down now, I find it hard to sleep when I work this late.
I was gonna call it a night around 11, but I decided to push through for a couple more hours so I could sleep in and enjoy my morning instead of getting up at 6 am and flying out the door in a wild panic ( not a morning person)

I'll probably read through while I wind down.
As I was scrolling down I saw everyone saying ' congrats melina" I don't know what happened; but I'm going to trust all of you people and say it too!

Congrats melina!!!

When I get home late and turn on the radio and the lights my bird gets mad!!!!
He starts chirping softly, like telling me to go to bed and saying hi.
Then he starts screeching at me!

Cheeky- last I heard that bird wasn't paying any rent around around here!
