You could hire them to move a couch from one room to another.

Oh cheese curds yummy!! When I lived up north for a year I couldn't get enough of those!

Traffic wasn't too bad today yay!

We got new magazines at work....I'm drooling over an ad from Breyers and a recipe for nectarine and jalapeņo pizza!

Kummerspec Durchfall. I have always wanted to say that. That could also be the name of the latest British heart throb to play some Darcy type hunk or Dr Who.

Thanks for all the kind words earlier guys. Feeling better now.

Had a nice bowl of Thai soup for dinner, with big chunks of smoked Tofu!

I would murder a ribeye right now......

Text exchange with my wife just now:

Me: Are you out catching Pokemon with the kids again?
Her: Nope. Out watching pig, duck and goat races.
Me: Well, that is certainly not the response I was expecting!
Her: I'm full of surprises. [sends picture of goats racing each other]
Me: where ARE you?
Her: Backyard. I've been busy.
Me: Hardy har har.
Her: Or, we're at the county fair.

I thought it was funny. Maybe you had to be there.

Googling weird German words now. Innerer Schweinehund is my favorite so far. Literally translated, it means "inner pig-dog." It's the voice in the back of your mind telling you to be lazy and procrastinate.

Pig-dog.

That's funny. I call the beagles 'pig dogs' all the time. Term of endearment, and the truth.

Glad your feeling better Behan

Benedict Cumberbatch, who is almost as elaborately named as Kummerspec Durchfall, was on the radio with his mum Wanda Ventham - remembered by boys of my generation as (the hot!) Colonel Lake in the Sci fi programme UFO which I used to love back into the day. I think it did get transmitted in the USA - a forerunner of Space 1999.

You can see where BC got his looks from

Oh - music trivia fans if you have heard of Nick Drake well his sister Gabrielle Drake was Lt Ellis in the same series

I suspect it was not just the Sci fi aspect that got me hooked on the show!

Okay - our weather is officially disgusting. 90 degrees, 77 degree dewpoint. Heat index 102. Walking around outside is torture.

I know Nick Drake's music, Sao. A little anyway.

Marty, I doubt you'd want to sit in a Jeep in 98F degree weather where the index is, well, higher. And no air conditioner either.

No, I would not. I was pretty happy I found a parking space in the shade when I came back from lunch today.

Amazingly, the body adapts. After two weeks in those conditions, and lots of Gatorade, I was able to tolerate it just fine.
