Never made it to the Nationals while I was drinking.

I noticed I made a couple of pocket posts. Sorry about that.
Back at the hotel and started breathing again. I'm optimistic about sparring tomorrow. For today, I was happy with my performance. Though it could always be better...Enjoying the moment after a nice dinner with my team.
We took two gold medals today (for a total of five), two silver, and three bronze.
Thank you all again for your support!

I'm sorry to hear you feel disappointed, a bronze medal sounds fantastic! But I also know we are our own worst critics and we know what we are capable of and don't like it when we don't perform as we know we can. So while I am sorry, I understand. Do save some room for some pride and joy over your bronze though, it is a great accomplishment after all. Now you can take form this experience and start working towards the US Open in March.
Congratulations again!
Congratulations again!
Congrats on the bronze, EndGame!
Your bronze win triggered a memory of something I'd read. Not sure what you think, either as a clinician or an athlete, but some studies suggest you may be more pleased than your silver-winning peers.

But that may be too much like work to contemplate. Just enjoy your victories! Thanks for demonstrating to us what's possible in recovery.

The guy who beat me, and eventually won the gold...His teammates and their families were having drinks in the hotel lobby. They called me over. I didn't recognize them since he wasn't there. They only said that they enjoyed watching me spar. Then they told me who they were and told me the guy who won had three small children cheering for during sparring. A nice, soft landing for me, and a lot of joy for them.
