Stay Sober Here - All welcome - Weekender June 3
welcome aboard cardoon, LadyBlue, SansaS, AND FindingCake!
and everyone else...
FindingCake, like Marty sez, be prepared ahead of time, have a plan in place to get through the weekend... if circumstances change and your plan doesn't fit, take a few steps back and rethink the plan... it's best to go into battle with a plan, and being armed to the teeth also helps

Welcome, FindingCake!
What are your plans for the weekend? Having a solid plan is really important early on. Especially if you're having trouble getting to meetings. Stick close to the weekender. It tends to move pretty fast, but don't feel like you have to keep up with the banter. If you're struggling, check in and we will drop everything to help!

May take my son to a movie, he'd love that and visit my mom (who never drinks and is very supportive ).
not rough at all... unless you count breaking up that old rusted iron fire chimney thing (hammer and pry bar does the trick), carrying it out to the curb hoping someone takes it for scrap, then cleaning up the rust/charcoal dirt/ dirt dirt from the patio and hosing it down
a couple days ago I picked it up to move it, or actually leaned it to rock it to another place (heavy sumbeach) and the leg I leaned it onto just broke away... so I was left with a mess.
It's done it's time...

On a lovely perfectly toasted Thomas English Muffin with a fresh egg the neighbor's chickens
slathered in Irish butter before ignition
AND very possibly the augmentation of a light and crispy hash brown dotted with sweet organic onion,
plus if I'm really saucy, a thin sage sausage patty. . .
Hawkeye's McMuffin. . . TM
P.S. Obviously, I'm in
