LBrain, Della are the not any time limitations or statutes for these things? It seems very harsh that they would be "on file" forever.

one of the unfinished 'projects' I started a 'few' years ago... the wood was reclaimed from someone's torn down deck, 3 more 'steps' to go... last year these steps had bush beans growing in them But I gots to finish it - my stairway to heaven (blueberry bushes)

Yeah he is!
He's also a chemical engineer and was working on the offshore rigs in the middle east- I find that really interesting.

He also rode a motorbike across India and into Nepal alone.
My type of guy!

If he wants to date seriously with me and exclusively.
I will- no thought required- I'm in.

Count me in for a sober weekend. This will be me first sober weekend since I fell off the wagon last January. I have a lot of healing to do myself. Physically, Mentally, Spiritually and emotionally.

Good to be back on SR. I see some familiar faces, and some new ones.

DAY 4

And yes I know I hardly know him.
He could be a serial killer for all I know! That's alright though- that's not a deal breaker haha!

Hi jaybee!!

sao, my job was high profile - and it is a permanent file as a matter of public interest... however, since you mention it, I did a search... apparently over the past month the 'two year' public notification bulletin has expired... I thought it would still be active till summer... however, anyone doing a background check will find it pdq
for example -- a guy hired with me some years ago had a dui in another state, his record was legally expunged... he did not report it during his background investigation interview because since it was expunged he figured there was no record of it... around 3 months after he started working, relocated, sold his house etc... they take him out of a training class, ask him about it, and why he didn't report it... he said it was an expunged record and thought he didn't have to report it - he was escorted off the property that day and told never to come back... 3 months after he started work! they found it. he was deemed not trustworthy because he held the information of his arrest... if he had told them, no problem, but he didn't even though he didn't think it mattered... these are the types of things I will have to deal with forever as long as I am looking for work in certain areas...

Goose family update:

There are only five of them - that's not many. Often I see families with 12-14. Maybe these are first time parents, dunno. They seem to ignore it for too long when one strays off - for as small as they are, not a good idea. More than once I've seen an Eagle take off with a small one...danger, Mother Goose.

As long as you don't join him. Don't want to see an ID show about you and him on some spree.

Welcome jaybee! Congratulations on 4 days

Fingers crossed for the goslings bim but I guess nature is such that statistically they won't all make it so be prepared bim

LB - I guess you can "declare" it and not be automatically ruled out by every potential employer - it seems such a waste of skill/talent. It also strikes me as unAmerican, after all quite a lot of American novels and movies seem to be about redemption

Lunch break time for me. Leaned my lesson yesterday when I skipped lunch. I'm not feeling great as it is, so I know I have to eat. It's all going well so far - but I'm on information overload. The person I'm replacing left me a flash drive with hundreds of documents on it. I've been going through it figuring out what's what. Also had some training this morning on the accounting system I'll have to use extensively. My head is going to explode... I know eventually all of this will be easy and second nature - but for now it's pretty overwhelming. I'm so happy I know the people I work with and know who to call with questions or I surely would be questioning my decision to take the job.

well I was getting ready to head out and the rain showed up... change of plans... so I'll share another "project" that needs done... I have to calculate how much base stone I need, pea gravel, edging etc...
the kayak goes in the garage, there will be a flower bed from gate to deck and semi-circle flower bed between deck and steps to lawn below...
two gravel walks with stepping stones converging around a raised bed in middle, to the deck and the gate... the area where the kayak is parked will probably be raspberry stalks... the area between the split walk will be flowers or something and bird bath or fountain... this was all grass a few years ago.. I killed the grass to continue the 'project' - much too soon eh? I have a 12' X 28' 'canvas' to work with
any ideas?

If it were me, I'd do a trellis-type thing with climbing roses or some other flowering climber. I've always wanted a small pergola in my yard - something to sit under on a summer afternoon.

I second the suggestion of a pergola, imagine how many different climbers you can have! Does your climate suit grapes? A roof made entirely of vines and clematis, honeysuckle, roses.... And grass? Boring.

I wish I were lying in a hammock right now! I'm already sick of the air conditioning in my office and it's only April!

Certain things stay on your record for life. It sucks. Sorry Della and Brain. I know all about it and wish I could change my past everyday. I'm stuck in this job too. Thankful that my boss have me a chance but it sucks being stuck.

Ok, so....I got my Admin Day stuff a day late lol! It was on my desk this morning which means he remembered sometime last night! Oh well, I can't complain....visa gift cards, chocolate and Bath and Body Works gift card! yay!!
