Tetra, I don't think you came across as crazy before. I think you probably came across as shy and insecure and wrapped up in misery. You may still not be completely happy but you are making headway.

We got junior a bouncer called rainforest jumperoo. I put him in it tonight when I got in from work. He was jumping and bouncing in it like a mad yoke!!! We have also been playing the mary poppins soundtrack vinyl edition. Its a crazy house.

My dad is so funny.
We were in the car earlier and we passed by a Muslim woman with her face covered. All you could see was her eyes. Now a lot of Muslim women here have the hair covered but not usually their faces.
So my dad turned to me and goes "she must be from Iran".
I was thinking "really? How do you figure that?"

And then my family wonder why I don't want to share things with them.

Actually, I do feel a bit better tonight.
Sometimes it's helpful to cry and let it all out.
A woman at the meeting told us today that she is in her 50s, married with grown up children and she just got offered a job in the Middle East which she has decided to accept! She will be home for visits and I guess her family will visit her too.
She has been sober for 2 years and said that there is no way she would even have thought about this a few months ago.
So I feel hopeful that if I can stay sober my dreams will come true as well.

I spent more money today on books I don't need. I guess I figured I needed something to keep me occupied during my 4 day weekend.

I'll be sticking close to here this weekend as well.

So here's to a happier Easter weekend filled with lots of chocolate.

And I'm raising my cup of camomile tea to all of you xx

Hey Casey. It's good to see you.

I wonder sometimes if the amazing, wonderful Weekenders thread feels like the "regulars" place, replete with in-jokes and familiarity.

I just want to let folks know that everyone on this thread was new to it at some point. That's sure the case for me. I've been on SR for 2.5 years now, but only hanging about here since last summer. I just found I needed a little extra camaraderie with like souls as my class has grown a little quieter, as they often do as time goes by.

Please, if you're new to this thread, just jump in. Kick off your shoes and make yourselves at home. The door's always open and the coffee's always on.

Pretty soon, you'll figure out that MesaMan can figure out anything, Melina is the best chef anywhere and Sao's trousers ... oh, wait ... never mind.

But seriously, we were all new to one another once. It's great getting to know more about people and learning from one another.

In a very bad bad mood.
I'm sick again.
A head cold this time.
Its my idiot clients, they don't tell anyone that their entire household is ill, and they have the cleaners come by to clean.
Then one cleaner gets sick, then another, then another, then me.
Then I can't work and have no staff.
I spent 4 days in bed last week, its looking like it gonna happen again.
I'm furious.

How selfish can you be?
Cancel the clean or let me know 4 people in your house have the flu- or clean it yourself.
I tell them to tell me too, some are good, some are just selfish and lazy.

glad you cleared that up for me Ruby, for a second I thought that everything in Chicago was green... have a hot cup of tea, put on your jammies and take some rest, and take a couple acetominophen caplets...

in other news, I was busy all day and got nothing accomplished - oh yeah, tax paperwork... I suppose in a month or two I will have fresh young looking skin... and no belly fat, so I got that going for me...

But what I really wanted to say, besides how's everyone tonight, is that I came up with the greatest idea.
Let's assume Drump and Billary are the two pres candidates...
I say whoever gets the most votes should be president, and whoever comes in second should be the vice president.
And hopefully I can sneak across the Canadian border as a refuuuuuuugeeeeeeeeee... Bodhi, got room for me and the wife?

Hope everyone is prepared for a good Friday night here and West, and great Saturday east of here.

here's a pic I took just for you when I was in Washington, it was a winner of the nature photography contest for some year before now...
It reminded me of you somehow...

No SW - never even heard of Scottish oat cakes, and never had caramelized onion chutney, but I may be mental

B, sounds like baby B is having a good time - and cue this up, better than Mary Poppins...

Hi all, I'm in.
I loved these threads last time I was around, I'm back to day 7 now and this is going to be a bit of a rough weekend I think - all of my friends are at parties, barbecues, camping trips which i've been invited to but of course turned down. Going to work on making some changes for myself, and hang out on SR a lot this weekend, so glad you're all here!!!
