For those who asked what a fruit machine is ('bout 200 posts ago) it's a slot machine/ one armed bandit. They used have little pictures of fruit in the olden days

Hi everyone! I'm back home on my bed...back to work later this afternoon just for an hour or so. I'm really not clear headed enough to do any serious work.

I worked as a supervisor and slot key person in a big Nevada casino back in the day when you had to feed them with coins. The old-style 1950s slot machines exactly like this one. I don't like the new ones with electronic "credits." It takes so much of the fun out of slots.
...and I really want to buy this machine. Except, who plays dime machines? Exactly. It's on eBay.

Marty...my 2 cents on the Don. Don't let him tell you when and if you are going to be friends. Why is it his decision anyway? You've gone through a rough few days and you don't want to have to go through this emotional hell again....and believe me, if you resume this friendship you will. It's not worth the emotional upheaval. You deserve to be treated so much better.
I'm grouchy today. Trying to be the go between is exhausting and ridiculous and puts me in a really bad mood. I need to snap out of it quick before I get stuck in it.

I didn't work in a casino in the 50s. The 1950s slot machine was still in service in the mid 80s when I did work there, though. There were probably 600-700 of them in the club. They were Old Reliable. The new electronic ones broke down much more regularly.
