good idea Bim, I'm gonna put it on and get back to work. Can't believe I wasted my time watching Rocky.

one of my all time favorite singers, yeah and I sounded exactly like him too...
or Paul Rodgers...

Yes. It really is an honor to know you all. Bless your heart, Melina. God bless us, every one. Though I quote a hackneyed phrase...I mean it. Don't we all?

This has got to be the longest short week ever.
And still a half day to go.

I was supposed to go to see Stuart McLean tonight, but he had to cancel.

I think early to bed it will be instead.

I tried reeeaaalllyyy hard to smoke as an early teen. Just was constitutionally incapable. Thank goodness. Of course, I did find another vice I could tolerate...

I could have told you, had you asked.

Here's a tip though, there are 13 other Rocky movies you don't need to see.

You are welcome.

Enjoy your night everyone, I'm heading back to work until around 11-12, and to top it off I get to drive all around in a snowstorm, then I'll wake up at 7 for more work.
The joys of owning a business :/

I'm sick, on my period, tired, and I'm a nicotine junkie.
Good thing I don't have any staff on tonight and its just me.

I didn't answer the last phone call, or the last text.

I really don't know what motivates him to do this. I am the opposite, I get in and get out as fast as possible because I have anxiety in stores.

His grocery store runs are hours long, and he doesn't come back with tons of stuff either. It makes me really angry sometimes.

I'd have eaten a sandwich by now, that is, if he allowed sandwich stuff in the house, which he doesn't because it's too unhealthy. WTD?

Give me a effing pizza by now! Or Indian, or Chinese!
My "store anxiety" manifests similarly to Mr. P's. I am stricken with doubt. Inundated with possibilities. Stunned by my decisions to eat "right". Shamed by my rigidity in face of other's tastes/ desires.

Possible Mr. P is suffering?

Hi gang,

Great catching up on *this part* of the thread. Great to see so many new folks on board, welcome all!

I'm getting up at 3.30am tomorrow to hit the great open road. Well, I hope it's open, some recent flooding has made the drive look a bit more tricky than it was already. You never know 'till you get out there, though.

I'm heading out to the Amatique Bay, where Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras collide on the Caribbean Sea. Should be very picturesque and I look forward to sharing some photos when I return. What a pleasure to have such a great group to share adventures with. Wherever you are, make today your own adventure. Happy Thanksgiving and all the best to everyone. Ciao for now.

Well... I am back home, with double pepperoni in hand. Turkey-day purchases complete. Aaaand I am caught up with the thread as of now. Yes it is only 8pm and I am going to bed. So??? Early bedtime is my best friend. I wondered why my parents go to bed so early and wake at ungodly early hours. I think this may be how sane and sober people age.....? Aaaak!!

Yes! This must be what's going on, I mean, I know it is It's just hard to wrap my head around him making two and three hour trips and coming home with a few items, and it's because he has such doubt, for all the reasons you've mentioned, including finances/budget thrown into the mix.

I nearly stroked out when he walked in tonight with only two containers of broth and our lamb gyros, that's it. He spent two hours and only got broth and the gyros?? Turns out he got me 20 big bottles of club soda on sale, they were still in the car. I will have to go tomorrow and get the stuff he couldn't manage to buy, the rest of the soup recipe!

That Guess Who concert has some interviews that start at about 50:00 and are sprinkled through the rest of the concert. Really good, talk about the inspirations for the songs, the conflict between the "using" members and Randy Bachman (who was straight) and just the general awesomeness of Guess Who. I'm glad I watched the whole thing. It is a (VHS) tape...probably on DVD by now.
