Wow, bigsombrero, that looks heavenly. The crab dish also!
Waking up feeling good on a holiday weekend is such a blessin. No excuse to drink here.
Good day planned. Taking a child to a museum as part of my volunteer work. Newcomers, volunteer work is a terrific way to do something fun and meaningful. For me it's part of filling the hole in sobriety of extra time and boredom. Sobriety for me meant making positive changes in my life.
But first, I need to get my dogs out for a long walk. We couldn't go yesterday due to nasty weather, but today looks good. See you all later.

Big S, those photos are lovely, as we've come to expect from you!

Hope you're enjoying your trip. We've got parallel weekenders threads running so it's even crazier than ever.

It's official. I don't think I can handle anymore leftovers, haha. I'm in stuffing and mashed potato overload mode at this point.

Hi Venecia, Zelda, Soberwolf, HAF, Petals, etc!

Melina, the dish I had was called "Tapado". Here's a description of that stew, this person also had the stew in Livingston GUA (same place I found it) so I think it's unique to the area: Tapado ? Fish Stew from Guatemala | My Global Kitchens

Mine had fish, shrimp, crab and conch, along with plantains and plenty of tomatoes, coconut, onions, etc. Was rich, sweet, and amazing!

I enjoyed reading the link, bigS! Thank you!

I love caldos and guisados with whole fish, shrimp, or meat with bones on it. I love doing a little work to get to my food... Crawfish boils, etc you get the drill. And having the bones in makes the broth or sauce so extra special flavorful!
