Weekender October 9th
Big Della Bo Bella. I remember being so, so, so sad during the first many months of sobriety. After all, my so called 'best friend tequila' was no longer in my life. Sending you good thoughts.
I've got my pork butt in the oven as well. House smells good. Appraiser due any time. Fingers crossed!

((((Della)))) I do know what you mean. We are very lucky to have each other and I'm proud we are December classmates. We've been through a lot this past year yeah? But we are still sober and learning to live again. We at least have a chance at a life now, right? ( even if we can't get into Canada...I think Mexico will still take us )
Rule breaker here.... English breakfast tea and its not even breakfast time! Clearly I don't know my tea drinking rules like the Brits. But I prefer to think I am livin on my sober edge today.
I'm a little late but ready for another beautiful sober weekend. Day 166 here and waking up sober with no icky hangover will NEVER get old. I'm about to pick out my next audio book and enjoy the rest of my day. Happy Saturday everyone!!
Hope you feel better Weasel
Personally I cannot drink tea before midday, has to be coffee and non of your decaf either. After midday then it is tea only (I sound very set in my ways don't i)
It is probably snowing by now in Canada so best not go anyway Brynn and Della

Hello, W'enders,
Back from brunch with my girlfriends. It appears I may not be quite as on the mend as I'd thought ... ready for a little rest after rejoining humanity. But much better, all in all.
Oh, Della. There are many times I wish I had some kind of Harry Potter-like powers so I could teleport myself to you and treat you to some coffee and companionship. Being alone requires grit, I know.
Mesa -- an interesting development on your end. I'm not quite sure how fellow journeyers do it with any of the sauce in the home. An upside to living alone, I guess. I liked your Burma Shave, btw!
Sao -- I thought it sounded brilliant to look into getting your car cast in a movie. It seems a shame to pour so much into it and then have to turn around and sell. Oh, and I had to google plaice. Whew! It is a fish.
Steve, Kinzoku, Bix -- Nice to have you here. I'm a rather recent addition to this thread, too, though in one week it'll be two years since I joined SR. The amount of support and wisdom here is staggeringly wonderful. Highly recommend joining your SR class -- yours would be the class of October '15. I love my classmates to bits though it isn't quite as active as the earlier days, as is to be expected.
I spoke with my mother this morning and it looks like we've got a buyer for my family home. (Mom moved in with my brother and his family earlier this year.) It's something I've been prepared for emotionally and, if anything, it's a sense of relief to know it looks like we've got a sale in the making. The house has been on the market since June and there'd not been any serious interest. It is an old house (100-plus years) but it is a good house. There are a lot of homes on the market in my old hometown so there's been a great deal of competition, too.
It's good to have your company, you merry band.

VICTORY IS MINE!
I am now on line via our new High Speed [well, ~12.6 Meg] Wireless Bridge Internet Connection. Identical speed as at the Gate Phone Box. Un-fn-believable!!!
What an absolutely Trigger-happy Project this has been thus far. However, all I want to do now is head to the Dog Park. Then, mebbe, pick up a Roku Box at Wally World, and dink with Streaming TV after I get the Wireless PC Router going tomorrow.
Lots more to do, but Proof-of-Principle is now complete. It works!
Can I get me a Hail Yeah, People?!? Testify!
