Sitting and waiting. ....
Am in a major funk. I need to make some changes in my life. Feeling alone and unloved. Not sure what to do about that. I need a handsome knight in shining armour to come take me away to live happily ever after. Dream on.

Mesa and all - I picked up some more peaches
Finished grocery and school shopping today - picked up more propane for the BBQ... and took the recycles in. Got my business work done as well. Monday has been productive and good. Now to get supper ready... should be easy... BBQ again.

Bond has been set. Still don't know what to do. Can't believe they're letting him out. The amount of coke he was caught with is 'just' a third degree felony and I don't understand how he's eligible for bail because he's got another felony charge pending. I've got a headache.
Oh, and Sao....I believe anyone can change if they want to. So many of us here are proof of that. Problem is, he's only talking about rehab because he got caught. Again.

Sorry HAF.....I know how funks suck. Sometimes I feel like I am always either in one or coming out of one. Kinda like always being either tipsy or hungover. Reading helps me or watching DIY videos.

Hey all!! I'm in Ohio! We made it and the kids didn't drive us insane in the car. We took a more scenic route than straight interstate so it took a bit longer. Very pretty area. I'll see more by daylight.

Brynn, I started on the family and friends forums when I joined SR then flipped to newcomers when I decided it was better for me to focus on my own recovery. I think it may help you. They still may violate your boyfriend's probation. Hang in there. Upside down. Like the break dancing bats.

Ruby - be careful here in Ohio. Our roads are in better shape than those of our neighbors', but our state police enjoy their jobs a little too much. They love writing speeding tix.
(Got my first a month after I moved here 8 years ago. 83/55 half a mile from my house adjusting carbs on a saturday AM. Only one more since... Knock wood)

My Grandmother was old-school.
She hated seeing people ( especially children) go hungry. She believed that a person would be alright as long as they had a good breakfast ( preferably oatmeal ) and a good dinner ( meat, potatoes and vegetables) everyday.
When I was staying there, she would leave a large banana on the kitchen table for me every morning, in case I got hungry, as my break time snack. ( I am capable of buying my own banana, but I know that she cared).
This morning there was no banana on the table. And once again I am reminded of the fact that there are so many ways to say I love you...

I had my oatmeal this morning and there is a banana on the counter too...
I'm glad you are going through the good memories Tetra, take the time you need to mourn, but don't get stuck there...
In spite of what y'all may think, Trachemys is actually a nice guy. No fishing today, but hopefully in the future next time I get down this way.
Outside plumbing repair today and maybe work on replacing rotted siding with hardie board siding. Of course redirecting down spout water away from house which means removing a ton of river stone and stepping stones, digging trench and installing drain 'stuff'... in my 'professional' opinion the entire house needs to be resided - not just washed and painted, but it is amazing what a fresh paint job will do a month before you put the house on the market...
almost forgot -- I am batman too!
