Any older people here?
Classic album. Your mentioning it brings back many fond memories of my youth.
Physically 109.
Mentally...some days. 47. Some days 27. Some days 7
Reality 47.
And completely amazed considering there was a time I didn't think I'd make 40.
Also completely amazed to have met people from 19-90 who drank and thank like me.

My ex mother in law had a great idea. You know how a lot of women subtract years form their age? She would add 6 or 7 years to her real age, that way people would say "wow, you look AMAZING for 68! hehe!
Got sober in 1990 at 30yrs old.
Some 24 yrs of one days at a time
sober to get me where I am today.
Happy. Healthy.Honest in mind,
body and soul at a young age of
57.
Im a 1958 baby.
Lot's of ESH - experiences, strengths
and hopes thru the yrs to share with
many.
It's good to be sober and alive and
in good awesome company with many
here in SR.

I don't remember JFK's assassination but I remember RFK's well. The moon landings. The first Beatles craze, John XXIII's funeral....that's about as far back as I go!

I’m fortunate I can remember WW II with the European maps pinned to the wall. I’m grateful for a lot of things given me except the aging process of which many have a worse one. It is what it is and I need to live daily life on lifes terms.
Compared to 40 years ago “Life is such a dream.”
BE WELL

Drinking was fun for a while, but I could really have done without pursuing that fun for another twenty years. I could easily estimate the financial cost alone of drinking the way I did for those two decades at a quarter million dollars. Yikes.
Welcome JagAlly
By the sounds of things I am one of the "older people", I got sober just before I turned 58 and I'm now 60. Older person or not I could give plenty of younger people around here a run for their money -- well a walk or a bike ride anyway.

I am over 60, 67 to be more precise, or, as I prefer to think of it, I am in my extremely late 20's. I quit 2.5 years ago, having drunk very heavily for most of the time from 60 years to 65 years of age. Life is very good now, with no reason to drink.
