I had a freaking great work week. I am so on top of everything. I am having a lot of fun while delivering on so much at the same time. Getting lots of praise and weasels need that at work.
Off to do laundry and eat.

Hi Weekenders! I haven't been around too much the last week or so but I'm here now and looking forward to the weekend.

Maybe a lil Blue Eyed Soul will fit the Friday Night groove.
I was hangin' out at the United Airlines Red Carpet Room in Denver getting 'mentally prepared' for the long Flight to London. Who ducks in use the adjacent Urinal? John Oates. As one can see at about Video time marker 0:50, he's a pretty diminutive Dude. Not your average location to meet a Musician. Let's just say we did not shake Hands.
The Pic is from around last Xmas at the Ranchette in W. CO.. Sage and Snow. A toasty 40 F here today around Denver. We'll take it...

Yeah, if I stay above 60th street there is far less temptation. I am glad to be out of that area. Still planning on going to AA, might take a cab after just to avoid walking near bars. Whatever the cab cost would be cheaper than if I falter and drink.

Mesa - for a second there, I thought you were headed off to London in a few minutes and just saw John Oates. But, I'm guessing that was a story from the past, correct? If so, cool story. If you're on the plane now, have a great trip!
I just got back from town. Bought 2 big pillows for my bed, shoved them under my arm and walked around for a bit until I was able to hail a tuk-tuk. Stuffed myself in the tiny back seat and had my pillows hanging out the window, cruising down the main drag on a Friday night. Oh yeah I'm cool!

I was going to run this weekend but the cold is killing my bad knee. So, the only other two goals I have for this weekend are staying sober and cleaning my bathroom. maybe I'll go see the Alamo as well. I haven't been there in years.

So glad this week is done. I am having a break from the old job this week and taking the weekend off. I know I heard jammies mentioned...,that sounds like a good plan.
Got the cyber nudge from weasel and went to the box this morning. Got a postcard from Taiwan, but it won't download from my phone, so stay tuned for image.
Grocery and then home for the evening.
I hope everyone is fabulous!

Nah, an old Biz Travel Story re: John Oates and London Trips. Enjoyed that stuff, but glad it's over. Free Drinks back then are not what I needed to continue with. It was fun. Until the Drinking wasn't, eh? I'll pay more attention to my Sentence Composition to Time Stamp what I'm blabbing on about!
We're staying warm, and just finished watching 'Silence Of The Lambs'.
Stay comfy 'down' there. And, don't let them noisy Neighbors pull any Guano on ya!

Made it home without drinking. I want to thank everyone for their support in this thread. It is extremely rare I am able to stay sober on Fridays. It was definitely a struggle, but I feel proud that I was able to do it and hopefully this is something I can build off of.

ANDNYC... That's how it started for me. I survived a bunch of Fridays after a lot of work never to make the whole weekend. Then people here stared a thread for me to stay sober one weekend and this thread was born. People who want to stay sober all weekend.
The people here are proof its not just possible to stay sober on Friday to Sunday but that life can be full as well.
Happy sober friday to ya... now stick around for a sober saturday as well.
and for anyone else that may be lurking... its possible!!!! and doable!!!!!

Hello all wtg, a new day - keep at it, and soon a Friday will come that the last thing you think of is a drink...well, maybe not last....but at least not first see you all for a non hungover Saturday a.m !
