Gonna get a jump on Christmas decorations (outside) this weekend! Grand kids = 2 boys ages 3&1 coming from west coast for holidays. Really looking forward to the visit - Skype isn't nearly enough!!!

Have not really had the energy for a few years to do much decorating outside. This year the lights will be representative of my sobriety - and the grace we all been given at another chance.

Sometimes I feel like Scrooge on Christmas day when he awakes to find he hasn't missed it!!! Boy, what day is it???

Christmas!!

Joy filling my heart this morning - thanks to all Friends on SR!!!

thanks for reminding me fly - home depot does a trade in for old style lights for the newer style, the local utility kicks in also, but I have to find the date for it... This year I shouldn't miss it because of drinking being more important than being a part of the community.

I will never drink again and never change my mind!

Alcohol has sucked the life out of me.

It will be a great weekend. Fly, I'm with you, my two girls told me last year that our house looks "lame" so I bought a bunch of icicle lights that I never put up, I only did the lighted garland around the front porch and two reindeers. My wife hates the big bulb multi-color lights but they were a staple growing up and my kids like them....move over Griswald...haha
Good news, my wife wants to quit drinking, she told me this am...the probability of NOT drinking this weekend just went up 1000%

Good morning everyone! I'm excited for the weekend. Glad to see everyone on here. I'm going to indulge in a whine. I'm not ready for this cold! It isn't getting above freezing today. Next week will be worse! And it's only November.

Early congrats Gilmer on a year. That's great.

Time to get ready for work. I feel like I've run my own marathon and I haven't even started my own day yet. Busy getting kids ready and out. Have a great day!

For you with colds/allergies. I swear by nasal irrigation. I'm a scuba diver so I don't like to use meds - but the irrigation has changed my life. It's an awesome tool. I never get sick, but it even cures sinus headaches

Glimmer - congrats - early. I will milk the congrats all over the board as well.

All this talk about Christmas decorations. I live in a condo, so only inside stuff for me. I don't have any family so Christmas has been really low key around here. I have the stuff. Hm. Guess it wouldn't hurt...

I get to whine about car troubles in the weekender. Yay. (?) Yesterday the car had a hard start, I thought maybe a new battery. LOL, of course not. Alternator. That will be $500 please. Grr. They didn't have the part, so I have to go back today - if it starts. I trust my mechanic, though. Hopefully only one fix.

Mecanix and Weasel: thanks so much for *ring*ring. I use it all the time. So simple, so effective. I tend to hold my breath or clench my lower abdomen a lot. I'm working really hard to break this fear-based habit.

I am really glad to see turtle posted overnight. I was worried about him.

It's freakin frikkin cold.

I remember all of those from the 1950's and Mom and Dad and Friends dancing in the living room to them.. Parties back then were so much fun.. aaaaahhhhh wish I was little and it was 1958 just for an hour...

had to log on to pay a bill - always check SR,

today wife asked why I wasn't hunting this morning. told her I was worried about a friend from the forum and stayed up late - welcome back TRACH

here is the link to home depot info - I hope this is not a violation, you have until Nov 16 to trade in your old lites for new LED lites if you are so inclined. if it doesn't work just do a search for home depot christmas light trade in, you get a coupon for a few bucks. I may have to make a few trips myself.

oh yeah
CONGRATULATIONS GILMER!

I'm in for the weekend! Got me seat. Ahhh. Time to sit and chill. Amen.

Wow. I am so far behind. This week was brutal and I really did fall asleep in my clothes with all the lights on, etc. Just woke up and cannot believe how much I missed.

The nasal irrigation rocks. All my sinus anatomy was removed and has been a dream come true. But still irrigate with junk build up or signs of infection coming on. Feels so good as long as I am not to heavy handed with the saline.

YAY! Gilmer!!
