It's day 13, my friends. I like the use of the word "momentum", Eshgham. I think it's applicable.
The voice is as deafening as ever, but I've been moderately successful now and then finding things outside of my addiction that I enjoy doing.

Hey, friends. I didn't write yesterday because I simply forgot. I remember thinking about it and somehow convinced myself that I had already wrote. Well, I guess all that matters is that I'm in day 16. Hooray!

I'm still sober into my 18th day. Thank you so much to each person who has replied. I'm sure it's conceited, but even just that moment's recognition makes me a little bit proud of reaching this day.
I hope other people feel the same way? I sure as heck am insanely impressed by everyone who's made it such incredible distances.

Wow -
I gotta say, I never saw this thread until today and when I first read that this Steve Guy was going to post his daily sobriety as it goes by I have to admit that I thought, "this is going to be a short thread." This will just be one more guy we watch go down in flames.... Sorry, I can be somewhat pessimistic when it comes to people doing this. haha
As I read day after day I got more excited and hopeful that none of them would say - "well, I blew it, guess I'm starting over," and sure enough, none did.
All I can add now is - WAY TO GO STEVE!!!! - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Thank you so much for your kind words, everyone. Every single encouraging post in response to my posts means the world to me.
HOUMJM, I hope you're doing awesome as you get started.
Findingtheway, goodness I can't even imagine being at a month. In regards to looking at my future with my sobriety, it honestly still terrifies me to look any further than the current moment. I get rather overwhelmed otherwise. I wonder if that's common?
And Xtreem, I really can't express how meaningful what you said is to me. I so thoroughly understand and have embraced that cynicism (if you don't mind me using that word) when viewing a lot of things. I think it's totally fair. I honestly wanted to be perceived as "just another guy with a short thread" to start, and I want to prove myself each and every day.
Oh yeah, I'm successfully into my 22nd day.
