Raider, I'm new at posting here, but have been lurking for some time and always appreciated your thoughts and voice. I'm glad you posted and are ok. I hope you keep posting b/c I look forward to getting to know you here.
And so happy you posted a pic of Fuzz! I've actually always wanted a hairless!

The Fuzz. Trying out the wheel at a truck stop.
Seriously, please re read our posts and I hope you'll chose to pull the breaks and make it a bump on the road rather than a full fledged disaster.
Be kind to yourself
Pam, so glad you came back on to read all of your friends posts. So many people care very much and are pulling for you. Fuzz looks like the typical inquisitive little "furbaby". Have fun and hopefully you will have time to go into yourself and figure it all out. Peace be with you.
Hahahaha. Look at that cat coat!! I did bring her red hoodie. I will read your posts again when I can get off this tiny phone. Thanks guys. You're right, it could be a lapse not a full blown relapse. I will be mulling this all over.
Raider I was relieved to read your post this morning. You were the first person to comment on my post when I joined the forum last month. That meant something to me. I felt a genuine sense of sadness last night reading your post, but after reading your post this morning I had a sense of joy. It seems you have plenty of loving arms around you here. I wish for you a safe and sober trip. Hang in there friend. I have faith in you.
Glad to hear you are OK this am! Please remember that you don't have to feel happy and fulfilled all the time in sobriety. There are going to be Dry moments, Blah moments, Why am I doing this moments??? I still struggle with it and sometimes feel sorry for myself when I see my family members enjoying cocktails without it getting out of control. But then I remember that there's NO way I would ever have quit if it hadn't gotten as bad as it did...it's a tough struggle. Probably the toughest thing most of us here will ever face in this life. But one of the greatest gifts of this is the strength and honesty you build up over time.
We've all seen both of things in you over the months!

((((Raider))))
I was hopeful for more conviction than "mulling it all over".
But this is your fight girlfriend.
There is a whole lot of love in this cyber room for you...
A whole lot of people who have appreciated your support and wit and love
Gosh..I would just hate to see that selfish addiction cow take you back all for its own...to waste all of this great wonderful stuff that is YOU.
I can't help thinking bout my own thoughts that drinking allowed me to tolerate the intolerable.
I can't help wondering if looking at your marriage in sober eyes scared the beejeezus out of you.
I can't help wondering if there is another answer to help you through that..
Rather than crawling back under the drunk rock.
Keep fighting my friend..there's a better solution..really.

Can't tell you how relieved I am to see you up and around.....
That's how drinking made me feel when I relapsed too - tired, disappointed, disgusted. Nothing in it for us anymore. I once grieved for the old times - but I knew in my heart they could never come back. Now, I wouldn't ever want that sick life back. Drinking was draining and exhausting in the end. Anyway, I'm thrilled to see you Pam.

lyrics for now if u can't hear it yet:
Staring at a stop sign
Watching people drive by
T mac on the radio
Got so much on your mind
Nothing's really going right
Looking for a ray of hope
Whatever it is you may be going through
I know he's not gonna let it get the best of you
You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight 'til the final round
You're not going under
'Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when he reminds you
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
Everybody's been down
Hit the bottom, hit the ground
Ooh, You're not alone
Just take a breath, don't forget
Hang on to his promises
He wants you to know
You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight 'til the final round
You're not going under
'Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when he reminds you
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
The same man, the great I am
The one who overcame death
Is living inside of you
So just hold tight, fix your eyes
On the one who holds your life
There's nothing he can't do
He's telling you
You're an overcomer
Stay in the fight 'til the final round
You're not going under
'Cause God is holding you right now
You might be down for a moment
Feeling like it's hopeless
That's when he reminds you
That you're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
See don't quit, don't give in
You're an overcomer
Don't quit, don't give in
You're an overcomer
Don't quit, don't give in
You're an overcomer
You're an overcomer
