Last night I drank
Hi AlliH, don't beat yourself up, it uses too much positive energy, turn your positiveness into a plan not to drink. Said glibly but not the easiest thing in the world to do but worth it for it to be the best thing in the world you can do for yourself?
My dad always was full of remorse after the event, me too when I started drinking, always sorry afterwards for what I may have done or how I behaved.
I've learnt to stop drinking so I don't have to apologise for my behaviour, I don't have to worry where the the bruises I developed came from.
I hold my head up now and am responsible for what I do and how I act without any brain chemical changing poison going in my body I have to apologise for.
It's not easy, no, the cravings, the hot sweats, the sleepless nights. But, the benefits outweigh a few weeks of discomfort. You get your life back. Take care, Mags x.
