Checking in for a sober Sunday. Awoke to my daughter crying and blaming me for her current state of unhappiness. I gave away an enormous stuffed tweety bird toy and a pop up play tent is missing. Her five year old life is over as a result. I see a future problem. "Don't you think about or care for your little daughter?" between tears.

I am going to a meeting so should get dressed for that. Church and then a football game later. Maybe.

I woke in a really down mood. Had some dreams that were negative and that stayed with me. But I am not the same person with these emotions as I once was.

I fought the feelings by digging out the car from snow. Going to the gym and getting myself moving a bit. Back and feel much better.

I can tell you that I would have gone with the feeling and headed to the bar. The bar opens at 9am Sundays and I had been at the door waiting many mornings. That's sad. Real sad.

I guess I am just trying to let you know how grateful I am this morning!

Going to see an uplifting movie later.

Hey weekenders!!!! Since when does this thread move to page 2?

Check in time. We all get quiet on Sundays.

If you drank.... If you are sober... This thread is for everyone.

Went grocery shopping with my sister (raw food lifestyler). She is helping with my nutrition. My son seems really into it and I am looking to improve. It was quite pricey but look at all the money I am saving not buying wine. We then spent the next two hours making a days worth of green juice as we are doing a Monday Detox day. I am up for it. It is time to curb the sugar. I am still feeling great!!

Enjoy your detox, Blueu--sounds like it will be very energizing/refreshing!

Ringing in. Watching AFC game, but in the SF bay area, we are all eagerly awaiting SF vs Seattle! Go 49ers!

Hope everyone is doing great! I think I'm fighting a cold or allergies and not feeling so hot. Glad there's football on to accompany me while I'm not doing much of anything today.

xxoo

An evening of football . . . though might not see all of the 49ers game, it goes on to 2/3am here!! . . . Though I do have the Monday after the Superbowl booked off work, so I'll be seeing that game till the end!!

Have a large pot of tea brewed and sitting beside me, relaxed evening ahead and a hangover free (maybe a tad tired) Monday morning to look forward to!!

Just checking in! 15 days sober!

Today marks the one year anniversary of my mom's death. She passed away at the age of 50.

I had a very idle saturday night and was coming from a lot of great positive things going on that day. You would think I wouldn't crave any alcohol but sometimes after having a really spectacular day, I want to "celebrate" with a drink at a bar. I told myself that it wouldn't work and opted to go to the movies instead.

I woke up today feeling refreshed and hangover free. Usually Sundays were always wasted because of really hard saturday nights. Now I feel so fresh and clear headed I can direct a musical! Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

Hello Sober Weekenders!
I hope everyone is feeling fine!
Watched a great documentary, 'Who is Harry Nilsson?'. I love his music, I think 'The Point' is one of my favorite movies ever. It was a lovely, sad, insightful story. I had no idea he was so close to the Beatles. And of course his music was the soundtrack.
Anyway, off to not watch the Seahawks play.....I don't want to jinx it. It would be really nice to have them go to the super bowl.

Survived the weekend drink-free! That's two weekends in a row. I reckon it's about 28 years since I've been sober this long. It feels fantastic.

Some murmurs and images from the AV, but nothing major (yet). 10 days in the bank with no real withdrawal or cravings. I have another business dinner on Tuesday, so I'll have to be prepared for that.

Best,
ODog

Olive1,

I watched that Harry Nilsson documentary last weekend. I knew the music, but didn't know anything about the guy. It was really interesting.
