Memorial Day is a U.S. holiday (last monday in May), where we remember armed forces who gave their lives so we can all live safely...it is like the unofficial beginning of summer too...pools may open, we eat outside, barbeque and celebrate good weather.
Except where i live today it is freezing and i have the heat on....looking forward to fresh jersey tomatoes next month though! And the beach.
Hope you feel Better today too!

I hear you, and reading this posts and its responses are such a tremendous help.
I know it gets better, even in the mists of withdrawal (soon to hit the fifth day for me- heart has been racing, blood pressure elevated, and my head feels like its caving in). I want to go back to the beer fridge as fast as possible, but I keep sipping Gatorade, reminding myself it will be better. In the interim, I've baked more bread than I thought humanely possible to keep my mind away from what I was not using.
I just remind myself of the mornings I had to crawl to work, desperate for people not to notice the hangover...as well as the hangover feeling. Stop thinking of the nice drunk feeling...think of the aftermath...and then bake more bread.
Phew- it will all be better in the end!
