Why do a lot of recovery programs require a higher power?

Thanks, W., I sorta knew that was your vantage point from your measured approach, and I thank you for expanding on it. I suspected too, that you were more than competent to speak on your own behalf.

Please, no defense is needed because no attack was intended. I chose to emphasize that there are indeed alternatives that do not necessarily increase the risks that we all face as substance abusers and addicts.

The proof is in the pudding. Long term sobriety = good thing. My program includes doing the hokey pokey daily . Does not mater the course it is the destination that counts
