For me, alcoholism isn't about drinking, it's about not being able to live without drinking. Until I found a new solution, alcohol worked for me.

I don't miss it today. I drank for over 35 years....

I'm sorry for the path you are about to take. I've been there. I planned my "relapse" a few years ago, although I didn't realize what it really was. Back then I was still trying to be a "normal" drinker and I wasn't remotely aware of how bad it could get. I couldn't even fathom the idea of me being an alcoholic. Although there were plenty of times I told myself that, only it was when I was drunk and then I quickly shoved that thought away.

What I found, was that when I finally was ready, everyone on here was waiting for me with open arms and ready. Good luck to you.
