Scott, prayers being said for you my dear friend.

Here is where your faith comes in big time,

you just got to TRUST your HP, turn it over.

You don't need to know the plan just yet,

all will be revealed in his time.

Astro, you are such a shining positive light in SR and I am very grateful to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for sure, and I know that the future will reveal itself in wonderful ways that you never could have predicted!

S, you're such a great friend I actually had a chuckle thinking about some words, I think Mark Twain wrote them (?) The rumours about my death have been greatly exaggerated

I'm taking action today, still keeping that forward motion going, and leaving the fear behind. Printed up some business cards and I'm working on a resume (haven't done that in over 20 years!) I've got to run a few errands this morning, then I'll run by the office and turn in my cell phone, and see if I can help out in any way possible and offer support to my co-workers.

I just talked to my new sponsor, he reminded me that it's better to have a job with a pay cut than no job at all, so I'll most likely hang in until the doors are chained shut.

Prayers for you Astro, don't give up the faith. God didn't bring you this far to let you fall now. That is something I believe for all of us with every fiber of my being.

Positive vibes from England Astro. I'm in a similar position to you, so I can relate to your situation. I know what you mean about doing a resume(I think we call it CV over here) I haven't done one in years! Good luck friend.

Astro you got the prayers brother!!

My experience has been that as long as I am doing the leg work no matter what it is, God will take care of the rest. Keep the faith.

I have heard it said that God will move a mountain for you, but only if you bring a shovel to help Him.

I don't think I've ever seen my partner so angry before, so it's hard to decide if getting fired would be a bad thing or if I could accept it as a blessing at this point. Either way, I know I need to be living in acceptance and in the moment right now.

I was doing some reading in my Life Recovery Bible this morning, this week's lessons have been on Step 10 and dealing with rage and anger. Reading from James 1 this morning what stuck with me most were these phrases:

Faith and endurance.

Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

So that's what I'm staying focused on today

prayers and love to you, S, and your family. I completely agree with D on this...if there is one person I know here that is grateful for everything and sees God's work everywhere, it's you, "bro"....hang on to what you know....that God is at work and the next part of the plan willl come clear when it's time

Love ya, Jomey

ps - Thanks for this thread, HL!
