I need your company
Hi Steph . Weather report : drizzly and gray. Not a good pool day. Kids played outside and then we all took a ride to the mall to buy a b'day present for my 14 year old daughter's friend. With the friend in tow! Let's just say this was an expensive trip out... not only did we get the friend a prezzie... everyone had to have something too lol! Me included (some cool yoga pants, tanks and a few new nose rings).

Hi my loves.
Kev - I am sick with a really bad cold. I am tucked up in bed with my electric blanket on.
I got to my home group meeting. The only reason I thought I might not go is that there are some old timers there who really don't need a cold. I thought about going with a face mask but I sat a wee way away from the oldies. I am lucky - I am sober again tonight. I got what I prayed for again. Not my will.
Gypsy- I can't even imagine going to a swim right now. It's zero degrees here. I love shopping with teenagers. Keeps us young even if the wallet is not too healthy at the end. You are such a dude - yoga and nose rings.. Love it!
I loved reading about other miracles. Thank you. I am having a hard time with the idea but then I think about being an alcoholic and I think about how I didn't want to drink today and there you go. If I am crazy, this is a much better insanity than the drinking sort.
Hi Dee!! Hi Rose!!
((((Karim and CMC))))). Thanks for your stories. I will always remember them. Purple is my favourite colour.

each time, a mouse comes on the scene. I don't know where they come from. I never saw one in my house until the night I tried to kill myself. Now, everytime I am in desperation, there is a mouse.
all good wishes steph...

It's absolutely boiling hot out - probably as hot as Arizona, but a humid heat - sucks the life out of you when you step outside.
I yearn for autumn - but then I'll bitch about the cold. Never happy!
Hope you are feeling better today, Steph.

Hello Pilgrim. My name is Mark and I'm an alcoholic. I'm also going through a similar experience.
What I've been doing was doing a lot of messaging and placing some calls to some old numbers which I haven't called in years. I don't know if I'll get any calls back but at least it's the effort that's put in initially that leads to the payoff.
Also, I've been opening up a bit to my coworkers at work. I mean acting as if I have it together which, as you may have noticed, isn't easy. With it's as if I don't have it together so I'll figure out how other people have it together and go from there.
If it's any consolation when you post here you're not alone. You're reaching out. Just as I'm reaching out. It's what we do to Recover.
Anyhow, be safe and no matter how bad it gets you and I don't need to drink or drug Just For Today.
Yours in Recovery, Mark B.

Thanks for the weather update guys. I heard about the floods in the UK Stone. really bad. It was super cold here again today. I wrapped up warmly for my day with the boss who is over from Sydney.
I would have found his visit really difficult when I was still drinking. Even with a nasty cold, I feel like I can manage better.
I am going on holiday to the USA in a week. We are going to be there for two weeks and so I am looking forward to some nice warm weather and some sunshine. My skin is the same colour as this page I am writing on.
I miss my children quite badly tonight. The house is soooo quiet. It's good to have a meeting to go to although I don't think I will talk tonight. Throat is too sore.
Day 36! Not a "number" I know, but I love this number today. Awwwww - (((((36)))))

Nice to meet you Mark and thanks for posting such a nice note. Good for you reaching out. I still find that very hard. I get all weird about getting home and finding messages on my phone. I panic a little bit. I have no idea what that is but I really hate to check my home phone messages. Good grief.
