Misti...I have to agree with the others. I would much rather have love than money. Although had a rich guy come into my life when I was a poor struggling single mom, I probably would have been tempted. Instead God sent me this wonderful man that is my husband. We do ok. Would definitely be doing better if I were working...but I love him and he loves me and like, Ayla, I wouldn't trade it for anything!

chunk update: two eldest went off to school. littlest one is home and clingy. no chunks in sight. (just lingering smell--how DO you get rid of that expecially after it drenched sofa cushions?)
anyhoo--the resulting stories of "presents" and chunks stories were sooo funny! we should put together a book--nuggets of knowledge and chunks of fun...a true picture of mommyhood from moms who've been there and are on SR! ayla, what an adorable story. your mike is a god.
jane--my hubby has helped too! sometimes he really gets me back for all the times i'm mad at him--teehee!
gotta run for slippers and medicine. littlest one definitely has strep--has the breath smell and fever. hopefully, this is the last. i have no more kids to go thru...

Hey Curly--Thanks for Santa's number!! Man did it get my kids off their butts and out the door this morning! Heh heh!! I've been threatening to call Santa, and Eli called me out on it the other day...how come you keep saying you're gonna call and you don't? Brat!! So this morning when they wouldn't turn off the tv and get ready I threatened again....only this time, ha ha!! I had them both listen to the message, and then told them I could leave Santa a message telling him they've been naughty!! Got their little butts in high gear quick!!!!
I've used Norad the last couple of Christmas Eves and its really cool!!
Tam--good to hear you got a PM from Candy...I was worried when I saw her lurking yesterday and she didn't post!
My sink is broken, the plumbing underneath is leaking...I don't have a dishwasher (except myself) and I have a sinkful of dishes!! I don't want to call a plumber....it will cost a fortune, and my DH and I were going to go on a "date" tonight to celebrate our newest addition. I'll have to spend my date $ on the plumber..no thanks. So, I'm gonna try and fix it myself. It's not clogged, I think the plastic washer on the tubing is loose...but I have no idea what I'm doing. Maybe super glue? I'll figure out something, not gonna lose my night out to the plumber!!
Wish me luck! Unless anyone knows anything about plumbing???

Everyone should print off the duct tape to the wall pic and put it up on the frige as a reminder to all evil children!!!
I'm off to play Santa to another 100 seniors this morning. The mayor is meeting me so I better not be late. Remember, I live in a small community so being the mayor isn't all that impressive... He's also a friend and our realtor!!!!

tam, i think personally you could get your chip today...i know its very exciting. some hard core groups want you to wait until you actually have the 30 days...you never know what's going to happen, etc....but you do what makes you feel better. that's what it's all really about anyway

Ruby...send the Cheetah leeda my way!!! I mean, my kids really aren't too bad, but they only have had a sitter (other than grandma) like 3 times in their lives....to them having a sitter is like me paying someone to be their instant playmate/slave. (just like mom in otherwords....) Where exactly are you in Indiana...can't possibly be more than like 6 hours away? Send her my way...a night with my boys (playing wrestling figures until you want to cry) and she'll be a little more thankful of her life!!
