Happy New Year everyone! I’ve got less than six hours left of 2023.
Swept the garage a bit.
Told my friend that I couldn’t join him tomorrow for the ride. I felt badly. But I need to focus on myself tomorrow. Also my husband will be hopefully coming home when we’re leaving to ride. And I want to spend time with him. Tonight will be one of the busiest nights in every ER in America. It’s going to be brutal. I want to give him a hug when he gets home tomorrow.
I bought a six pack of Fresca,
. I remember it having a much sweeter and stronger grapefruit flavor. This is called Fresca “soda water”. Hmm. It’s not awful. Wouldn’t get it again.

I remember drinking that in the 1970s and yes, I remember it having a grapefruity taste.
I didn't know that they even made it anymore.
My non- drinking girlfriend and I went out to bars yesterday afternoon with her sisters and husbands, who are quite the drinkers.
I didn't miss it at all and was happy to be sober minded, I really felt sorry for them at times.
While I had a fairly nice time, I realized they will probably wake up feeling crappy this morning and wonder about what they said and did.
Im so thrilled to be going into the New Year sober.
A month and a half here and in positive spirits.

Kind of glad I'm in the psych ward right now just because my brother and his new fiancée are having my parents and local sisters over for dinner and I certainly wouldn't have been invited. So I'd be home alone feeling like a black sheep.

Happy New Year to everyone! I am going to visit my two brothers and their families today, and I am really excited, We all have a nice meal and just enjoy each others' company. I am really excited for 2024, and I learned a ton about myself in 2023. I wish you all a wonderful 2024, too!
