Day 8 . Getting better but the fog is still around . This time , its taking longer than previous attempts . Must be due to the ever increasing quantities of alcohol consumption through many relapses . This is another great lesson . It gets harder & harder after each relapse and new attempt for recovery .

Thanks for the kind wishes everyone. On a positive note I will be much less likely to drink alone. Harder with someone drinking.

Congrats to everyone on another sober day x

It really does. s

I specifically recall day 11 being the day I felt a little clearer when I got sober in 2014, but I know it is different for all of us. At eight days, I wasn't doing anywhere near as well as you, dear Imtehaan.

Checking in on day 7 after a week or so detour into Guinessville. Bad decision as it set me back w my pancreatitis. Its no joke.

Went to a meeting today..at the wrong place. Had wrong address. Got it right and will go tomorrow.

I was feeling a little better and just decided to give it a shot. Happy Hour and 75 degree days and a patio are my trigger. Also my pancreatitis symptoms are non existent after a few beers. But it is a trap. Short term gain, long term pain. I spent the last week not being able to stomach any food without throwing it back up.

So taking my meds now, starting over after a step back, and planning on getting the support I need. This absolutely will kill me. Heck, I felt close a few times during this ordeal. I don't recommend alcohol induced pancreatitis to anyone. It's been brutal. Down about 23 pounds.

Offthemast, I'm glad you're back and on Day 7. I'm sure the pancreatitis is very painful, and your body will be grateful that you've stopped drinking.

Ouch, that sounds painful offthemast

I had some similar symptoms that would also go away when I drank. A throbbing in my right side. It would flare up for a few weeks when I'd stop drinking. I don't know specifically what it was but I'm not having any problems now after 50 days. I gotta get in for a full checkup at some point.

Just wondered at my end.

Thank you so much Venus . This really encourages me to be patient and get through the grind . I am convinced , this grind is much more worth than a short lived relief from the withdrawal symptoms .
