Hi ya Folks,

PJ, Happy Belated Birthday and glad you are getting some intermittently better sleep. Congrats on getting shot #3.

Purps, that sounds like a perfect day.

13th - hey there friend. Keep coming back!!

Life has been hectic here. DD and DSIL have been dealing with some issues that have overflowed into our world. They seem to be working things out now, so that it is good. My car needs some work too, PJ, but they have not been able to get the parts required to do the work so I've been without my vehicle for the last week. To top things off, Mrs. MITA and I both tested positive for COVID today - we started to feel kind of junky last night so we did the home test today. We'll get more official test results tomorrow, but I'm guessing they will be positive too, given our symptoms. Not terrible, but not something I'd recommend We are both vaccinated and boosted - no idea where we got exposed to it, but I guess that doesn't really matter!!

Spending the day watching football games.

Feeling pretty good this evening. I didn’t sleep too well last night, but in general I’m doing fine. Mrs MITA has slightly worse symptoms, but seems to be getting better too.

Have a great night everyone and thanks for the warm thoughts.

Glad things are kinda looking up MITA ~ maybe some tea and a good nap would help

Coworker tested positive....of course....I haven't been around her since Friday and thank goodness we both wore masks....we're pretty socially distant at work too....plus I took a test on Friday and it was negative.....good thing I ordered extra masks; the wash and reusable kind....I figure if I'm gonna be wearing masks regularly, they might as well be cute ones!

I constantly feel sick, increased pulse, breathing , sweaty.....classic fight/flight response...

My logic tells me the feelings are a consequence of drinking...feeling 'bad' is justifiable punishment , as I am a bad person.
Told psychiatrist today and he thinks my thoughts , feelings, actions are positive, progressive, good.
I just have to have patience and wait it out.

Acupuncture appointment today....PJ have you considered that perhaps? It found me out of the blue, otherwise I never would've thought to go...now I go once a week ~ I love it Plus I found another place closer to home + much more affordable...at the 1st appointment the doctor was asking what brought me there....I briefly mentioned anxiety/tension and how I let stuff build up without properly letting it out....right away she's like "I can relate to that; you're the peacemaker, aren't you?" I like her

Hi gang.

sounds like a good acupuncture place for younPurps!,

PJ, I don’t have any great insight for you. I get episodes of acute fight/flight response still. It’s very uncomfortable. I’ve learned, somewhat, how to examine it and roll with it as opposed to trying to fight it. Work in progress.

"Don't do dat" ... I like that, thanks!! I know you're not giving up ...not ever.

A good day here - things are getting back to something approaching normal. Not sure how long it will last, but I'll take what I can get.

Yep MITA, I don't think we will 'get back to normal ', ever. This is the new normal.
Meeting my oldest son tomorrow-coffee, there maybe more to share.
