Class of March 2022 part 2
Thanks for the new thread Dee.
Thanks, Skrappy. I will learn a lesson from this experience. Examine my motivation for lending the furniture in the first place. Not a good idea with lackadaisical theatre folk, but still I'm trying to fit in. Have to work on that. Well done on a week!
RAL, that's great about the codeine. Sorry you're poorly with Covid though.
Hope all are truckin' along. I'm having a pal for dinner tonight. it's a Paddy's day tradition. We have dinner and watch an Irish movie. My husband and I always watched "The Quiet Man" with John Wayne. But that tradition ended with his death. it's good to make new traditions instead of being mired in sadness and regret about the past, fuelled by alcohol in my case.

So yesterday was hard. Hubby was in a mood. He didn't drink (much) the night before and so he didn't sleep well. That being said, he was in pick on me mood the entire day, I haven't done anything right, he has to do everything etc. I was calm for most of the day, but struggled by night time. I didn't drink, but I could understand more clearly why I had so much anxiety, depression, and tried to hide away with alcohol. He drank last night, his mood improved and then passed out. I feel asleep early, emotionally drained. Thank goodness I didn't drink, as I have completed my classes for IOP for the week and have a random UA today. Now that would have been a stressful mess! Dee's voice was in my head yesterday saying, "you can't drink at your problems" (or on this case a person) Off to work and to the UA center. Have a good day all!

Oh BTG..... I see. s
I cannot stand dubbed TV shows....they just aggravate me. But thank you RAL. xxx I read the books.
Same goes for subtitles I am afraid Liz: I am just boring.
I have finished the exam.....holy moly.....resisting the urge to hit SUBMIT as we have until tomorrow. I should eat and revise it later on.

BTG, I'm so sorry. That sounds very stressful. Is your husband at least supportive of your sobriety?
I watched a British show called innocent through a streaming app from my library. Lots of good British shows and movies. Lee Ingleby is in this one. I like him. You can have 5 borrows a month. I often end up binge watching a series then have to wait till the next month to find out the ending! Patience, sigh...
Suze, glad you got through the exam! A revision sounds like a good idea.

Part 2 here we go! I had a touch of the old AV last night but soon shut it up and had the most lovely moment today, reading a new book in the sun IN A T-SHIRT sitting at the outside tables of a newly refurbished and convenient coffee shop. New shop, new season, new me! I'm in a good mood today

Yes, I have finished it but I think I should use all the time I have, and review it tomorrow before hitting submit. I am trying something new: I am told it is called "patience"
Thank you for asking xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
How is your day panning out? ❤️

Learning patience and kindness towards myself is something I'm still working on 😀. Finished work and took my UA. My son just left for tennis and my hubby has to work tonight, which I'm thankful for. I don't need another evening of negativity. I'm going to watch a couple of shows (this is us and Chicago pd) and relax for the next hour and then hang out with my son. Peace!
Hi all,
Tetrax, that sounds like the most delightful afternoon. Pretty balmy here too. Unseasonably warm but so lovely. My friend is coming over soon so I should get cooking. I've never liked cooking really.

Seen them already.
I get a ridiculous amount of stuff done in a day....I need to stop that.
I am kidding of course: this is one of the GREATEST joys of sobriety. Boundless energy. I am waiting for it to change....maybe in a few years when I get tired.
