I like your staircase idea Erratic. Good luck with making that today. Welcome zombiegirl. That "knowing" you speak of. Yes. It's definitely something to trust and build on.
I'm enjoying my time off work. Have a list for the day, some chores, some exercise, more relaxing, more recovery work.
Today is Groundhog Day and it's a good reminder of what I don't want to repeat.

Good morning my February friends!
Day 6 for me and I had by far the best sleep yet since. Forgot to wear my Apple Watch, of course. But I slept most of the way through the night. It's snowing here so it looks like I will be blowing snow today. With not being hung over I'm actually looking forward to it. I work a night shift tonight from 11pm to 7am and I'm looking forward to it. It's amazing how being sober has changed my outlook on so much. I am so thankful to be out of that horrid cycle and I am committed to staying out of it. I find myself pondering how will I maintain this when camping and surrounded by people drinking, then I reminded myself I'm a few months away from that so not to worry about it now. Just stay in the here and now.

I remember in one class, that was a very special class by the way, Aug 2018, we all decided to share a pic of ourselves for 1 day and it was so nice to see the faces of the people I had come to know. Obviously not everyone is comfortable with this and that's why this site is anonymous mostly..

Oh boy. I may have to rethink these night shifts. I mean before I was drinking and could easily sleep in until 10-11 am. But since I've been to bed sober and earlier I'm waking up earlier. About an hour ago I started yawning so hard I had tears. lol Oh well I will have to drink coffee and get through this one and Saturday night. I'm casual in my position so I literally get to choose my shifts, so I may need to start taking days shifts. On Monday I start watching my grandson full time and as long as I take a shift every 3 months I maintain my position. So I'm lucky that way as I can pick and choose how much I work. Well, I'm off to put on my scrubs and get ready to get through until morning. Ohhhh in the morning it will be day 7! Woo Hoo!!

morning x well after all that positivity i did, i ended up having a small drink!!!! i never learn!! so back to the drawing board and back to day 1!!! going to see whats on my mood card for today. least i am back to work tomo also. i need to find a meeting in late afternoon, all great having the morning one, but when witching hr comes is bang goes the call of the craving! will see what i can find. sry everyone just having a small rant this morning, trying not to do the blame game withmyself x
