Yeah I think once you lower your standards and give up on your boundaries or start believing someone's words more than their actions, you just end up mostly around people like that. It was the same for me. Once I noticed that my ex was a narcissist, I realised that he has A LOT in common with my mum. And once I read more about narcissism I started seeing it in friendships, other exes and other family members too. And even some traits in myself but thankfully nothing that I can't change with some mindfulness. I used to constantly interrupt people in conversations, how terribly rude! But I was so used to it because that's what I grew up around, that it never even seemed off to me

I am pretty sure now it's the stress plus some of the seasonal darkness. But yeah today seems to be going alright

I usually check my subscribed threads first and then check the new ones if anything speaks to me or has no replies yet. About planning: Apart from tasks that must be done a certain day, I now only have weekly to do lists. I like having the freedom of picking out a few every day and adjusting the amount of tasks to my energy level

CHecking in for 24. Yes, a narc is a narcissist. My mother is one (who lies with me) and so is my partner. Thanks everyone for their kind words. It gets too much at times and I want to disappear into the void. However, I have 3 girls whom I live for and want to protect. They are more important than me. I an thankful for my spiritual practice which keeps me in one piece (albeit with duct tape). And to be here where I can safely vent without prying eyes. I am sober and healthy which are priceless gifts. Still hanging on.

Yep, these are the Santa Ana’s. I’ve lived here my entire life, I associate these winds with fires in the Fall. But, now fires are year round. Our SoCal Winter also seems to have been shortened dramatically. 🌞

I can hear the wind outside the bedroom window now ....going pretty strong! 💨 They didn’t hit us till 2:00pm today. Hoping this late arrival is a good sign 🤞🏼🙂.

The wind down here in San Diego, is cray-cray gusty. Kind of scary really. And it's very cold.
