Class of December 2020 Part 4
Ok, last pictures of the day. I love the light here in the winter, we rarely get any sun this time of year, but it is still beautiful.
First picture, taken around 10am, then one at 2pm and the last one taken around 4.45 pm.
That's the last of the pictures for a while, promise.
(I am still in a good mood, why am I dreaming of going to the store tomorrow and get some beer?)

Oh great pics Lixie thanks. Keep posting. Never too many pics
Romantacising the beer and the reality are, as we all know, 2 very different things. Maybe do a cost/benefit analysis of the pros and cons of drinking. We did this in smart. short term and long term
short term benefits of drinking
Pleasure, high, relax, forget reality
short term benefits of not drinking
sleep, peace of mind, better mental health, better looks, weight loss. no drunk texting/rows/arrests/fights/DUI
long term benefits of not drinking
sleep, peace of mind, better mental health, better looks, weight loss, better physical health, growth as a person, live a full and decent life, more peace of mind, better ability to deal with life.
long term benefits of drinking
NONE
sure others can add more

Oh Lixie ~ beautiful photos....and please keep them coming!!!!
I have never seen any of Norway before. s
I just want to add RAL love that the longer you drink, the less short-term benefits there are at all....no pleasure, no high, no escape, no forgetting reality.....just a numbness. Well, that's how it was for me. s

Found an awesome tv series I hadn't seen....so so good....English called "The Press". s
(Supposed to be cleaning but I haven't eaten yet, so some tv with my breakfast/lunch ).

Good Morning All
RAL - congratulations on the weight loss. Sounds like the SMART meeting are very helpful
Chancellor - congratulations on 10 days.
Lixie - lovely photos, it's like a whole different world to Oz, it's fascinating to me to see.
Venus - good morning lovely, ooooh it's always good to have a new tv show to sink your teeth into.
Thats really interesting to see the cost/benefit analysis in black and white. And gosh yes the benefits are none existent long term.

RAL — That’s a good list and good reminder of why sobriety is better. Wish we humans were better at taking the long term view.
Tanky— glad you made it through ok! I didn’t have as much luck about a month ago. Anxiety is my worst trigger, especially when the blues chime in with a pessimism. You are a hero!
Lixie— the sun is so beautiful on the mountains. Makes me want to head up to our mountains to visit the snow!
I am so ready to be done with thoughts about alcohol! I suppose if I hadn’t picked up in mid December I would be. Sigh..... Maybe if I were working or were better about my schedule. Now that I am back home, I will brave the supermarket and plan some meals.

Zura, it must be very different that Oz, I can imagine. Maybe we should trade houses once this covid thing is over?
Elly, same goes for you too! Or let's have an SR-meeting here!
Venus, lovely is a very good word for you. And I won't drink, I promise.
Christmas decorations are gone, the flowers are the only thing reminding me about the holiday we just had. Norway has had spikes in covid cases and is closing down again. Does not affect me much, but I feel so sorry for all the people who are in lockdown. And more people have been found dead after the mudslide. A young family with a two year old girl and another on the way still missing. It' so sad.
So grateful for what I have.

I'm going low carb tomorrow. We planned for next week on Saturday, and made the necessary shopping for groceries. Today we are cleaning out the cupboards, getting rid of things we won't eat. I'm looking forward to it, to giving my body what it needs, not what it wants.
