24 Hour Recovery Connections part 510
“We are not all in the same boat. We are in the same storm. Some have yachts, some canoes, and some are drowning. Just be kind and help whoever you can” - Unknown
5:05am in Alberta, I'll have another 24 please, and thanks...
Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Good morning everyone. It's 7:43am in Indiana. Last day of work for the week before Christmas! I'm grateful that I got through most of my to-do list yesterday and I hope today is just tying up some older items before we are out. I'm looking forward to some relaxation. It'll be low key kind of like Thanksgiving was...but that's ok.
I wish you all the very best over the holiday season. I know it can be a tough season for some, just know that we are all here for each other.
In for 24.

This is a list of everyone who posted their commitment to stay sober in the last 24 hours: 9 am EST ~ 8.59 am EST....(ish ).
It is awesome to have every single one of you here with us!

Hi Bandi,
I wanted to write about my experience with anxiety attacks. But, when I still experiencing them, it was anxiety producing to talk. So, just in case you are there too, I’ll just say this ...
After a few years of meditation, an herbal supplement, and such I found myself a bit better. But, it just wasn’t like my old self. Still feeling this separation from my brain to my body (hard to explain).
After having a big one in the movie theatre that was quickly followed by 9/11... Yikes! I thought I’d give the Paxil my doctor had prescribed a few years earlier.
Fast forward, for ME, Paxil has filled that place in my head & body. That’s me, I’m no doctor, just my experience.
Sometimes during these Covid months, I will find my body feeling extra stressed, you just know, at those times I use some of my tools I’ve learned, and am ok again.
I, too, felt SO relieved when I opened up to a teacher at our son’s elementary school. Yeah, it’s been a long road, but looking back, I’ve been in such a good spot for geez, almost 20 years!

Praying for 24 sober hours on day 16 :-)
Was going to check in last night but for some reason, my wireless connection is sssslllllooooowwww. Very frustrating as it is still slow this morning. Takes forever for pages to load...
Still battling the sinus infection with a new antibiotic - two doses under my belt so far, but I don't know how this will work with my being allergic to my dogs. :-(
I got quite a bit done yesterday with respect to holiday preparations. Unfortunately two of my gifts are stuck in the UPS system - I've had so many bad experiences with their local distribution center. Many people have complained but nothing has really been done as they use the all too common excuse "covid". They've always been slow.
My toilet shut off valve started leaking so I'm expecting a plumber out this morning and then I'm going to step back and see what I would like to get accomplished today. Most of the gifts are wrapped, but I still have some small details to work on. I decided it would be best for me to not spend the night at my son's house Christmas Eve (I still don't feel great) but will head up there on Christmas and spend the day with them.
I truly hope everyone has a great, sober day. That's my plan!
