Must be something in the air Mags, I decided to make mince pies this year for the first time since I left school! Will let you know how they go. I imagine much like your own, my pastry making is not art ( unless it's Picasso or Dali!!)

Heya Mags, I am so not organized. I'm very much an out of the frying pan into the spilt milk kind of gal . . . . I try to give myself and all those around me credit for making any kind of effort/progress.

Well, I'm off to listen to a Spanish podcast, do a bit of yoga and sew some piping on a sleeve . . . when I start dragging I come here and tell you all what I will do; this provides some minimal structure to my dragging afternoon . . . . thank you all . . . I hope I can provide a teeny handhold/nudge/moral-support in this crazy journey we are all on.

Good Morning Overs

Just got back from the farm shop. Only shop I go to, most of its outdoors.

Toots, good luck with your mince pies, I’m sure they’ll turn out great! My mistake was putting too much mincemeat in them, even though I was aware not to put too much in.

Bekind, I need a list to remind me to look at a list.

Andy, home made bread....yummy.... I never tire of hearing you say that.

I’ve had Tesco grocery delivery earlier and I can’t get any more deliveries before Christmas, they’re all full up.

Have a good Thursday my friends. Be safe. xxxx

Good morning, all!

Andy, can we figure out a way to teleport to me a slice of your bread every morning?

Hi Suze

Toots, Miss Molly is always adorable :-). Hopefully she will be inspired by the sweater to be both “Merry and Bright”!

Bekind, a short to do list sounds like a good idea! Mine seems to grow every day.

Hi Purps, PJ and Mags

I got a call yesterday that my new computer .... er, sewing machine, has arrived and will likely be ready to pick up today - yay!

Have a terrific Thursday.

Hi Overs -

Loved catching up on this week’s set of posts. We are an active, creative bunch and it’s great to hear about everyone’s activities.

My energy has been up, so I’m continuing to make progress on my todo list while I can. But nothing interesting to share.

My mom is trying to indoctrinate Baby K into Santa - she is being slow to pick up on it, much to my mom’s frustration. Of course being in suburban CA, even something like snow isn’t relatable to her, nor are they words she is familiar with. I just chuckle when baby K responds with ‘no nana! There isn’t a man on our roof!! And adamantly insists that Nana is out in the weeds .

SE as long as she doesn't start telling friends 'nana is on weed'

Sass, Miss Molly normally is merry and bright, just not when I dress her in her Christmas outfits!

Andy, how is she? Fully recovered?

Mags thanks for the timely reminder, I'm sure I would have been too generous with the mincemeat too - shop bought ones never have enough in!!

We are putting our tree up this weekend, to try to get into the Christmas spirit.

Good morning, all.

It’s happy FriYaY time - or will be after I finish my Friday afternoon volunteer activity to deliver packages to other residents :-)

SE, I think you could write a book about raising baby K.

Andy, it’s obvious you are thrilled to have DD18 come back home :-)

Toots, please give Miss Molly a hug for me.

Mags, you be safe and take care, too.

Happy FriYaY to all!

PJ, I hope it doesn’t get too hot.

Sassy, you’re a trooper! Volunteering to deliver packages to other residents.

Andy, good to hear DD18 is coming home today.

toots, if you find the solution to not putting too much, or not enough filling in the pies, please let me know.

Ugh Phoenix . . . we here in the Western US just got news today that a major fire in 100% out . . .ugh . . . now it it you all's turn to burn . . . . may that rain keep coming down.

I had a decent day, I always wake up with a bit of fear and loathing and go to bed happy to have gotten through the day. Life is really just fine other than my own struggles with myself.

I talk to may sister almost every day and my Dad makes me laugh as much as he annoys me so that is good.

May this first weedend of December go well for you all.

Good Morning Overs

It’s cold outside (I always sing in my head the Tom Jones/Cerys Matthews version when I say that) and there’s been snow in some parts, but not here yet.

Bekind, it’s great you have laughs with your dad, it warms my heart.

The news has been showing hospitals getting prepared for the arrival of the vaccines. It’s a massive undertaking.

Have a Serene Saturday my friends. Be safe. xxxx

Your tell babe happy to have her back under your roof Andy.

Mags, not so sure I got it right and my pastry was a little thick, but hubby is in 7th heaven so that's all that matters! I had some left over pastry after making the mince pies and made a few little open tarts which were a bit burnt so went quite chewy and were scrummy!

Sass, you are a good person.

Bekind, you too are a very good person

Stay safe Peej

Have a great Weekend Overs!

Good Morning Overs

Andy, pleased DD18 is home safe.

Toots, they sound perfect! If Mr. T loves them that’s great!

FBL, I just watched your youtube ‘Setting healthy boundaries’ chat with Ev. I found it interesting and very inspiring, I need to learn how to say ’no’ on some occasions.

Have a good Sunday my friends. Be safe. xxxx
