Oh, that sounds stressful! I'm having three exams in about two month's time and I'm NOT looking forward to it...

Fingers crossed!

I have a friend doing open book exam for her Bachelor, Science degree. She freaks, but gets through it-I was silent support out of camera range.. Would it help if someone was just sitting with you?

Hey, guys! Weekend was fun. Olivia turned 3 and of course there was a party. Rapunzel themed. With a bounce house and all. It was cute.

Good luck on your results, purple.

Hope you're feeling better, PHX.

Hey, Lixie and Sam! Good to see you guys checking in. 13th, if you're reading - hi.

MITA, BBG, Suze, DEE, and Caramel, hey!

It is very fall like here in the middle. Rainy and dreary. Summer could have lasted a bit longer for me.

Have a great day, friends!

I am confused.....Autumn in Aus is nothing like this....this is our winter.
Not sure why people like this weather at all.....I do not.
I am miserable. Sorry.

I like wearing sweaters and boots and sitting by a fire and the changing colors on the trees. I don't like when it is gray and rainy so much, but I figure you have to take the good with the bad. I'm pretty sure I like and dislike parts of each season, but I really do enjoy having all 4 here.

I understand.....but Autumn is Aus is totally different.
And I am not at all OK right now, so this miserable rain and dull grey skies are just making it all worse.

I'm sorry you're not okay, Suze. You are right, the gloomy weather doesn't help. I wish there was something I could do to make things better for you.

Hi B. I hope the wave of crap feelings lifts Suze.
Lots of study to do. I am usually washed out Wed's, from the 7 hours of contact art lessons on Tuesday. Lots of standing.

"Better than a poke in the eye with a burnt match"

I'm using this phrase, PHX. You will have started a trend in the US. Hope you are all rested up now.

Suze, I hope you are finding some peace. My daughter called me yesterday having a melt down. I truly think the pandemic is taxing everyone's mental state. And this freaking election... You know you can always vent to us. Or me.

Have an awesome day, March people. Find something good in the day and hold on to it.

I was super-stressed over something else....we are doing the steps to get my permanent green card.
And it's really just all about the virus....my stress....it is now so bad here they turned our local CVS into a testing station.

I found a counselling line that is literally for covid stress, so going to call shortly.
(perhaps it would be helpful for your daughter as well dear Bobbi).

This too shall pass, eventually.

Thank you lovely friends. s

Hi gang - your weekend sounds like it was awesome Bobbie!!

Venus, I hear you on the virus situation. I'm feeling very blah myself the last week or so, and it seems the country is on an uptrend which makes me a little more cautious, which translates into a little more isolated.

Today, I am listening to Tommy Rosen's "Recovery 2.0" audiobook. It's very AA and 12-step focused, and I don't really do that. Still, I have enough familiarity with it all to follow along pretty well. Tommy has a great story (and a very soothing voice!!), so I'm finding that helpful.

Honestly, the isolation is bringing some negative and bad thoughts which I am managing - I'll make it through today okay.

Be good ....

We can do hard things. Strength in numbers and all that. For me every day is a juggling act of keeping everything moving forward and posting here is part of the routine.

No doubt, PJ. Every day has it's own challenges - and it's own rewards!

I had a good workout and then went and hit some golf balls - winding the day down now. Tomorrow will be another adventure

Purps, I think you can handle this national day. It was created for you, I think.
Glad you got a workout in, MITA, I need to start running again.
PHX - hope you had a great day and a nice sleep. Enjoy your Friday.
Suze - Hope today is a better day.

Have a great day, everyone!

Definitely a National Day for Purps!!

I am almost finished with the "Recovery 2.0" audio book by Tommy Rosen. It took little turn into subjects that don't directly relate to my situation. He has/had some drug, gambling and personal "relationship" issues - and, while interesting and informative, not exactly my issues. But there's always something to be learned from how people grow out of these problems. I mention only because, if someone was interested in picking this up and would rather avoid those topics, I wanted you to know. I don't think I spoiled anything. He's big into yoga and meditation too - I think that's the primary focus of his program - blending yoga with the 12 steps. It seems to have worked for him. The barbell has always been my yoga mat. We had a saying in the gym "If you want to meet Jesus, just do a true 20-rep squat program".

I hope everyone is having a good day!!!
