Great to see everybody posting and building their sober days. Day 33 for me. I tried something new today and bought some imported non-alcoholic beer. Had one and it was surprisingly good. Not something I’ll have frequently, but I like the idea of having a few in the fridge. Digging the sober life!

Hey all. I'm not having a great day today. I swear everyone in my immediate family is going out of their way to make my life extra difficult. Anyhow, I came *this* close to getting alcohol after getting off work today. I fully intended to b/c I was just over everything and was feeling hopeless. But then I decided I deserve better than that, regardless of what everyone else around me is doing. So I came home sans alcohol. Anyhow, just relaxing now and may take a nap or watch some TV here shortly. Probably just tired and moody. Day 6!

Thanks for the encouragement. I don't really feel like I won at the moment, but I also don't regret not drinking, that's for sure. Just been vegging on the couch all night watching archeology tv episodes. Tomorrow is another day... day 7, in fact!! Looking forward to getting out for a run tomorrow.

yeah!! Day 7 for both of us! Quite a week, no regrets tho. Can't always say that when drinking.

Good morning. The rain has just stopped here, and I woke up sober and hangover free Day 7 starting (Saturday).
Feeling almost normal this morning although it is still early but so far so good. Yesterday was decent, managed to keep my tolerance levels up as for a few days I was letting stupid small annoyances really get to me and was being total unreasonable sometimes. It wasnt all plain sailing but so much better. I see my mood changing and becoming better every day sober. I do not want to go back to the alternative.
For all those at a similar time in stopping, things should start to get easier, especially once we hit into Monday.
I will not drink today.

One week! Has to keep getting better from here! I finally got some sleep last night. Thank goodness, i felt like my body was literally shutting down last night. I almost went to the er. Got light headed, clammy palms, dry mouth, brain fog...just felt unwell. This! After my 6th day of feeling pretty good all day?? I my anxiety makes me think that Any minor ache or pain is me dying lol. Now that i got some water in me and some sleep i feel really good. Ready for some coffee tho. Sorry, long rant! Happy sober weekend everyone

Phil and Back... we made it to day 7!! Also, congrats to everyone else wherever you are today.

I'm still feeling a little eh today, but less emotional than yesterday. Going to watch some Ohio State football and do some homework on this lazy day. Go for a run later tonight.

Hope you're right! I could use some leveling out of my emotions. I was in a really good place the first few days; it got bad around day 5-6.
