Spent all day and evening yesterday in the ER. Third bout of diverticulitis. The first 2 times I was prescribed antibiotics over the phone but this time they wanted to see me in person. I tried to weasel my was out of it, but they were pretty insistent.
Good news is I'm apparently healthy. Heart, liver, kidneys all good. Nothing showed up on CT scan or ultrasound. No suspicious "masses."
So have no idea what the lower left belly pain is and I dread seeing what my copays for all those tests are. I know it's ridiculous but maybe I shouldn't have gone to the hospital.
Kinda scared right now that there might be something really wrong that isn't showing up on the tests. Or else I'll need more expensive tests.
Scared to post this because of responses I've gotten in the past, mocking me.
Not going to drink over any of it because I don't want to die. And that is a huge improvement for me.

No idea why anyone would mock you love. s
I just hope they can sort it out and that you feel better.
Diverticulitis is rough....I have known a few people who had to deal with that.
Just sending healing love. xx ❤️

Survived Christmas 2020! I spent the day on the couch watching Christmas movies and texting back and forth with my family. I did, at one point, feel the urge to drink, but fortunately MA does not allow the sale of alcohol on Christmas, so that was that.
Why the urge, though? To make the day seem more festive? It was a perfectly good day without alcohol. And it was so nice to wake up today knowing I didn't drink yesterday.
Back to work today, "work" being working on myself and my life, and learning how to be a responsible adult. Ugh. But, like not drinking, I'm so happy when I make good choices!

Feeling very alone here. I'm having a tough time thinking about the medical issues. I did so well, not freaking out in the ER, but I'm done. I do not want to call my Dr for a follow-up. I do not want to see a specialist. I do not want more tests, more meds.
I think it's time to let everything go. If I'm sick, so be it. If I'm going to die, let me die in peace.
