Although I haven't read your novel (but would love to), I have read two of your stories, and one in particular is so darned good....and so different....that I can't get it out of my head. I loved them both.....but "Speed of Awareness" is in my head visually....I could see it as a Twilight Zone episode.
Your writing is wonderful.
I am glad you can identify the voice easily now, and I hope you can see that it isn't you at all. And you don't need to let that nasty voice put you down. Walk away. Like we would in real life if someone was talking to us like that.

Back to normalcy so more early morning check-ins.
Miss going to music concerts
Getting better sleep longer
waking up once for the bathroom
Pleased near normal glucose level this a.m.
Tremors calm.
Requesting 24 hours ODAAT @ 0427 of clean time and sobriety.
It is a lot of work to live basically the way to take care of myself, eating and sleeping wise. Even hygiene.
Each day turn my will and life over to the care of a loving higher power.
Keeping an SR tab open.
Miss going to music concerts
Getting better sleep longer
waking up once for the bathroom
Pleased near normal glucose level this a.m.

I'm really sorry you drank again Sea Slug but I'm glad you're back.
Think about why you drank and what you can do this time to make a different outcome.

James I think a certain amount of joylessness is common for a lot of us in early recovery. They don;t call it recovery for nothing - we've been through a lot.
Be gentle with yourself and try and be patient - things will get better...no one would ever stay sober if they did not
Kenton - sculpters sculpt, painters paint, musos play...and writers write because they love it - they *have* to write.
yes its good to get published and awards and recognition but we'd all do it for free anyway...right?
