Checking in at 0254 up early but went to bed early. No coffee just yet. None yesterday so I could rest. Stories of unemployment desperation for income for families are tough to listen to, on the podcasts. So sorry for what families are going through.
Overworked and unemployed addiction counselors. A day block of sobriety for me.

Good morning everyone. It's a another beautiful day today. This morning I have to do some public speaking to employees, a couple meetings, coach little league tonight. I know that I couldn't be my best on days like today when I was drinking and hungover. Feels good to be sharp physically and mentally. In for another 24. Wishing you all a good one as well.

I was just thinking that about acceptance. Something we are used to as recovering alcoholics. We understand how important it is.
And yet I realised that once again, acceptance is the answer to all of my problems today......life has changed exponentially, for all of us. And for me personally, I have been wallowing in discontent, waiting for normal to return. I realised while I was making coffee, this is my new normal. And I need to get used to it.

For a lot of us its the isolation, for a lot of us it's the uncertainty.....lots of reasons to genuinely worry. But worrying doesn't help.
Only acceptance and faith help.
