Good morning. Have a lot of work staring me in the face out my back door. It's kinda strange. I feel pretty good, but I seem to really have a lack of energy or motivation. I will power through once I get started, but this has been bothering me for a while. Common sense would tell me that after 2 months, I would be full of motivation and energy. More time? We'll see. I've given myself a deadline of St. Patricks day to have the Pergola done. Mrs. Bob always makes corned beef and everyone has green beer and irish whiskeys until they can't see straight.
Zura, hope you and Steely are doing well. You too Dee and Venus. Oh and thanks to all for the congrats. Congrats to you Steely on 76 days. I'm not positive where you are on days Zura, but you are probably leading the pack.

I am taking a wild leap here, but if I was in your shoes I might be procrastinating over the pergola because of the association with all of that booze....if I build it they will come.

Steely - It is cathartic and part of the healing process. It sounds like you have been being strong for others in need for a long time, and im glad your now able to take some time out for you. Lady bugs are wonderful.....well all of nature is but they are good garden allies as well as being ADORABLE!
Bob - It will sound weird but i think not being motivated is part of my growth....instead of racing around achieving, achieving, achieving, doing, doing, doing i take a lot of time to just be and be ok with me for who I am. Sounds airy fairy probably. As far as days i think Steely may be a couple days ahead of me.....

Thanks for understanding Zura. That's exactly how it has been with no time for my own thoughts, being, only endurance. It was no longer sustainable. And now I'm determined to get well for me and find balance at the same time. Onwards. ❤️
I agree with Zura bob. I used to think that I had to be completely energised, doing things, taking on the world, but don't feel that way anymore. Really good to do stuff and achieve, but equally if not moreso important for me to reflect and think.
Alcohol prevented thought in me bob. Probably why I drank it. I didn't want to really think. I'm starting to think again. I needed to. I type from the couch listening to some good Blues. Thinking.
I don't know where I stand in the day count, reckon we're all equals at anyrate. I'm 77 days sober. Must admit 77 is a cool number though.
Good to hear an end to the big freeze Venus and the sun shining. ☀️ Now I'm thinking George Harrison. 🐞

Venus-Do you think you are finished with the snow for this year? I'm hoping we just had our last freeze. After all, the groundhog did see his shadow
Think on Zura and Steely. I'm on day 62, so you guys are blazing the path for me. I got a lot done yesterday. I think I've figured some of this out. It seems to be one of those things where you have so much to do that you don't get anything done. I feel a little more energized after getting some things done yesterday.
