Bailey, that photograph is absolutely stunning.
abcowboy, Kenton is right it is really fascinating to hear about, and see that picture, of combining even if it might not feel like it to you! Very far removed from my more ordinary life.
wisc, really enjoyed reading your very thoughtful recent posts. And glad you might be free of snow for a while.
As always, so wonderful to read about our impressive milestoners. Special shout out for Dee because his milestone is definitely our gain! And for Citrus because I know how important that three week milestone was. Let's face it, all our milestoners are brilliant.
Gabe, I really hope that anxiety abates and gives you a break. Truly horrible for you. Maybe a visit to the doctor should be on the cards soooner rather than later?
Twenty four more hours please.

Breathing Retraining
Hi everyone
6.45am in sunny QLD and looking like a beautiful day ahead . It’s starting to get hot and humid, “the build up” as it’s known here (the build up to the coming wet season). It’s been trying to rain and we have had a few sprinkles, but not much yet. The humidity is getting thicker, like walking through a wet blanket. Luckily I like the heat, but not everyone does. We’ve started using the aircon at night otherwise it’s too hot and muggy to sleep. Yep, here comes summer alright! It’s about 33C in the day and 22 at night, but it’s not quite summer yet, and getting hotter by the day. I’m so glad we have a swimming pool in our backyard, like a lot of people around here
Haha my post was a complete weather report lol.
On that note I’d better get more coffee and start getting ready for work.
Have a fabulous Friday everyone.
Sending love, hugs and support to you all who are struggling ❤️

Everyday I wake up and say I don't wanna drink today, and everyday I drink again.....
So today I will be accountable and ask for 24hours sober, even just 1 day, please, for the love of myself! I'm safe for the next 6 hours so will post here again then..

I've just got home from my monthly mindfulness group meeting. Today was a revelation for me. I learnt that when people annoy me and make me angry, it's not actually their annoying behaviour that's making me angry. It's my thoughts that are making me angry. Their behaviour will be triggering something in me..... Some need that's not being met.... Or one of my negative core beliefs - I'm not worthy, I don't matter, nobody cares ... Blah blah blah. So next time I feel myself getting triggered I need to think, 'ah! I'm being triggered. No need to become judgmental about the other person, this is the time to take some deep breaths and try to work out what's really going on'. That way, I can communicate my feelings calmly... Hopefully without escalating the situation. I'm quite excited about it actually. I kind of want to get triggered so I can practise. But the kids are asleep and my husband and dog aren't being annoying. Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow to practise. That's the good thing about life. Always provides plenty of opportunities to try to become a better person. Right, I'm off to bed. See you all tomorrow..... Or for those already in tomorrow I'll see you there soon xxx

In another sober day, I will have 9 yrs and 11 months sober! I am tickled pink. It was hard at first but after I started practicing gratitude every day, it got a lot better.
Good article about gratitude.
