5:35am in Alberta, I'll have another 24 please, and thanks...

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Was really fretting about it all but actually, this can be treated immediately, is mild, and was causing many things that we all thought were cancer-related. She’s a bit better with a day of oxygen and other meds. Even smiled at me a bit. Still some very scary stuff ahead but this twist was actually better (oddly enough), and we have another doctor communicating with the one she was supposed to travel to see today.

I’m totally going to quit agonizing—I have no idea what’s going to happen next and know I can only do today. Just today. There’s so much peace in knowing that. I’m resting and will take a shot at going back to work tomorrow.

Many thanks and lots of love.

Xx
What a blessing in disguise love. (Not that pneumonia is a blessing, but that they were able to find out more re how to help her). I am so glad that your mom is feeling a little better, and wow.....a smile. That is precious huh? s

Yes, I know it's hard to quit agonising....but really important, and not something anyone else can suggest....you need to be ready. When my dad was really ill, I found my way to acceptance and it meant I was just able to care for him without as much fear and trepidation. It doesn't take away all of it of course, but it helped me a great deal at the time.

I hope you can have a relaxing day today.
So much love dear VoVo. ❤️

We have chatted about this before and for 3
months it got better but reverted back to her old
ways.

So once she went off to bed I was wide awake. I put my hands up to being petty. My living room is above her bedroom. Usually if I’m up and I know she has gone to bed I turn the tv down as quiet as possible. At 2am this morning - the time she went to bed - I had The Walking Dead on really loudly!

The tiredness is not going to get me though. Another 24 hours of that wholesome sobriety for me with a slice of coffee with my mum later for good measure.
But she's not allowed to disturb you or any neighbours after 11pm on a weekday. This is pretty standard everywhere. You can call the police if she won't comply. I know you don't want discord with your neighbour, but sheesh....when I was drinking I used to watch TV till midnight and sometimes I would have it on too loud.....well, my neighbour above used to bang on the floor to quiet me. One night, she called me (around 12am) and yelled at me....told me how selfish I was being. She was right and I stopped doing that.

I hope you can have a nap today love. ❤️

His birthday isn't until May but the giraffes are really popular and tickets to meet them sell out months in advance. I put a note on the calendar to remind me when next year's tickets go on sale and so now we will be meeting the giraffes next May! He's so happy and excited. He wants to work with animals when he's older and I love that I'm able to support his interests and help provide him with opportunities to meet these incredible creatures. Plus I get to meet giraffes too!! Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxx ps.... Bit of giraffe humour for a Wednesday .... What do you call a royal giraffe? Your high-ness!! Sorry
Just lovely and congrats to your beautiful daughter!

I have met a giraffe or three....when I was around 9 we did a zoo trip with school and we were allowed to well, meet some giraffes. They bent down and we could pat and stroke their necks and heads, and one of them kissed me. I will never forget that feeling and just the connection.

I think it's wonderful that your son wants to work with animals and super fantastic that he has such an an amazing mum helping him to get there. ❤️

All of your posts are wonderful....It feels good to read posts about parenting and "not" feel guilt and shame about what I did or as much.

I am proud of my 3 boys...they are in their 30s and have done well throughout life. Four grandchildren and two foster children.

Waiting on the snow....it's already late but knocking.

My caring for all of you.....have a great day.
Wow......I did not know you had 3 sons dear wisc. s ❤️
Sounds like you are a great dad if they are all doing so well. xx

Delilah, if you feel in the least bit guilty about your feelings about your brother, don’t. My brother sounds like a clone of BarbieKen’s. Yours too. It’ll be relief, for my entire family, when news of his death becomes known. He’s basically evil personified. Some people just aren’t worth your time. Be they blood or not.
