One Year & Over Part 71
Hey Overs! Axe holes and elbows here still. Love my new battery electric snowblower, used it three times in a month and this morning. Catching up from 3 December, 13 days ago!
Star, it is good to be near the kids and grand kids.
Sassy, good to see you too.
Mags, hope the cold is gone!
Andy, Have a Lincoln link?
SE! She’s a doll! Adorable.
Toots, Molly fully recovered? Great!
FBL, buddy had surgery? Or diet?
Jjl, sorry about your cousin. I had a couple of old drinking buddies that actively tried to get me to drink and they thought they were hilarious. That was when I realized I had to drop aol my drinking hard friends and found I had only a few left.
Aww Mags, sorry for your family. Most here have been through parent/s with dementia, Alzheimer’s and both. I’m glad she’s got her good memories now.
FBL, glad for your mom!
Wow PJ, that’s hot!
2° F here at the moment. Had a six inch snow yesterday evening and pulled out my Snowblower and made short work of it. No more snow for a week and temps in the 60s! We love this place. All the snow will melt and be dry because of the dry climate by tomorrow. It’s all turned to ice now. Great day to be retired and sleep in until it’s melted again. Saturday the big box store made a second attempt to deliver the convection gas range as the first one was crushed from being stacked under too much weight. We are updating the kitchen with all new fridge, convection gas range, convection microwave, and new three rack dishwasher with the stainless steel tub. We’ve gotten the fridge and overhead microwave in fine! Carpet due in, ordered it last Saturday, and having a small 11X20’ wooden shed built, and am installing all the Ring doorbells and spotlight cams tomorrow. We put in new blinds today and half the living room is done. We are living out of boxes until the carpet is done as it is easier to move that way. The carpet is only for the stairs up to the third floor bedroom areas. We put a new vanity and wood plank flooring and matching mirror in last Friday in the third bathroom and laundry nook. Pulled the toilet to do it right. What a difference with the modern sink and fixtures. And instead of nickel dimeing the re-overhaul of the top end of our collector Subaru 2006 Baja four door AWD engine I found a great shop to do a complete remanufacture of the top and bottom end of the engine, new lower ball joints, and all new valves, head mill and all gaskets, new water pump, another timing belt, and this guy filmed the whole project. $4900.00 but worth it as AWD specialty small trucks with turbo power are rare. If we ever sell it this shop documented with pics and videos every step. We get it tomorrow. Or maybe the day after with this weather. Way cheaper than a new car and more fun.
That pic is of one like ours, mine are still packed in a hard drive. Ours had the turbo hood scoop and sunroof.
Sorry about just the remodels etc, we’re setting up for the long haul. It feels so healthy, crisp, and energy giving here with views of splendor wherever we look. OK! Gotta close this long post and rack, stay true to our shared freedoms and new lives we gave ourselves. Live each day in childlike wonder.

Morning Overs
Itchy good to see you. I like your truck(or the look alike). Very practical and robust. I’m pleased you and your wife are happy there (and Maggie your dog, too)
Hi JimmyJ
PJ, I hope you’re taking good care in the heat and sipping plenty of H2O
Taking a lady for lunch today. I used to walk her dog a few years ago and we’ve kept in touch.
Have a good Tuesday my friends. xxxx

Good morning Overs,
Hi Itchy, this is a link to the university website https://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/ . DD now has offers from all of her choices, Lincoln is still top.
I have managed to catch a virus. I'm gonna stay warm and chill
Have a good day everyone.

Andy, feel better soon! Great that DD was accepted at all of her choices.
Itchy, good to see you when you come up for air. You sound energized.
Having ongoing problems with my primary care doc and am working on switching. My thyroid is 99 to 100% non-functional and has been for many years. Primary care docs too often only look at one indirect number to decide on treatment and that particular one is totally unreliable for me. I learned the hard way that treating based on that leads to my feeling truly awful. That’s what had been gradually happening over the past two years and the current doc was on the road to making it way worse. I finally stepped in. I tried to be tactful but she got very, very snarky. Sadly primary care docs are getting scarce and good ones who will work with the patient are even scarcer. So physically I am finally starting to feel better but realize I now must go on the hunt for a new primary care doc again :-(
Have a good day to all!

Itch, glad to hear you're settling into your new digs.
Mags
Well, my co-worker is going to have the bypass surgery on January 30th. So, that means that I'll pretty much be running the business by myself for the entire month of February. We may try to hire a high school kid to come and fill orders, so at least I won't have to deal with that task. I'm sure I can handle it, but will be praying for his speedy recovery!
Have a Terrific Tuesday, overs!

Love the new avatar Dee!
You sound truly happy in Colorado Itchy. It pours out in your posts.
PJ, and Dee, please be careful with that blistering heat. What a bad time to have to help someone move. Lots and lots of water!
FBL, sorry your coworker has to go the surgery route, but I know you will run the business well in his stead.
Have a good day all!
