Thanks for the new part, Dee!
Mags, hope all goes well, asthma-wise.
Andy, thinking of you and your family this morning.
Well, we ended up with about 6 inches of snow and it's going to stick for a little while as temps are right around 20F here this morning. This is more typical December weather around these parts, but it is what it is.
In my "other" recovery group on FB, we do a monthly challenge. Last week, I suggested a Gratitude challenge and so November is now officially Gratitude month! We list 3 different things each day that we're grateful for, with no repeats. Everyone seems pretty excited about it, so we'll see how it goes.
Have a Fantastic Friday, overs!

FBL, during my IOP, we were strongly encouraged to add to our gratitude list every day. Same rules. At first I couldn’t imagine coming up with more than a fairly short list. As I worked on it, new ideas kept popping up and I started to realize how much I have to be grateful for. For awhile, whenever I had an urge to drink, I read my gratitude list - and part way through, the craving was gone.
(((Mags))), thinking of you especially today and sending loads of *hugs*!
Andy, happy to hear you found a way to sleep
itchy, thinking of you on your long drive. In your shoes, I would also be happy to move from Louisiana to Colorado
Hi to all and have a good day!
And thanks, Dee for the new part

Oh Andy, so much love. And I know this sounds silly, but after I lost Venus I used to fold a pillow into the curve of my body because it felt like she was cuddled with me. Not comparing a cat to your wife in a million years, just wanted to tell you for some reason. s
Enjoy the views and weather dear Itchy, can't wait to see photos!!! And drive safe.
Snow.....OMG.....too early for me dear FBL. s
Thinking of you darling Mags. Hope it goes well today. s xxxxxxx

Hi, I got back earlier but the internet like, the electric is on and off, electrician here doing work.
Thanks for all your support. All went well at hospital. They stopped the test pretty early into it, realising I responded quickly with an asthma attack. Then they gave me a nebuliser. to get me breathing back to normal. Well as normal as I can be.
So I’ve got another appointment next Thursday morning with the respiratory in Hull. I’m hoping they can now start the asthma injections.
Toots I was singing Amarillo the other day and realised itchy had mentioned it.
Have a good weekend my friends, I saw lots of Halloween decorations driving to and from hospital. X

Hi Overs! I got in yesterday afternoon. It was between 37℉ - 49℉ all day and bright sunshine the whole trip. There was a lot of water standing here and there from snow melt that would be treacherous at night. Perfect daytime weather. I hit 50mph plus headwinds and side gusts in the northern Texas panhandle, but the new Subaru handled it all fine at 80mph. (The speed limits are 75mph and I drive five over, the police here allow that but not more.)
Andy,
Glad you found your way to a good night's sleep. Here is a video of Raton Pass the Thursday a week before my trip eight days later. It can be treacherous.
Toots!
Yep! But I always made Amarillo by nightfall, both ways since 1978. It was a beautiful trip through the high plains and over the pass.
FBL,
You are in colder country without the high altitude sun melting it all. You are doing great service with your online programs!
Sassy,
Thanks! Yes, the "climate" there was toxic for us.
Star,
Yep it's bad or good this time of year in the panhandle and pass. See that video above from one week before my trip!
Suze,
I'll post some pics soon. But my son and grandkids are on the way down from Denver and the moved stuff from before, combined with my stuff I brought has us seeing our work cut out for us for months!
Mags,
So glad it went well, now the shots. Which Amarillo were you singing? "Amarillo By Morning?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZBf16B5vhs
Sunny and 41℉ here today.
I've to the shower must go before my son and g'kids arrive.

Itchy, pleased your home safe and well.
‘Is this the road to Amarillo’ , I loved Peter Kay (one of U.K.’s comedians) doing his rendition of it, with many celebs, for charity, I think children in need’. It was so funny.

OK,
Never heard this but apparently it was a big hit in Europe. Is this the song that all you guys meant? I get the comments now.
For Amarillo this is the song associated with that city here on this side of the pond:
He's a bull rider and they have to stay on eight seconds out of the gate. ("I'll be looking for eight when they pull that gate." )
Broken bones are common.

Over here the song we associate with Amarillo is this one by George Strait:
Bull riders have to stay on for eight seconds, thus the line about looking for eight when they drop that gate. Broken bones are common.

Itchy, yeah, that’s the one, the first video. It won’t play here but I can easily watch it on YouTube anytime.
It’s a rainy Sunday morning, still early for some, nearly 6am. We’re visiting in-laws later.
Have a good Sunday my friends xxxx

Mags, I started singing that as soon as I saw Itchy's post, did t realise Tony Christie's earlier version never made it across the pond.
Glad you arrived safe and sound Itchy now you can settle in and enjoy!
We came through to Glasgow yesterday for the football (Celtic v Hibernian in a cup semi final -we won 4-2 after a few breath stealing close calls at each end!) will head homewards after breakfast arriving in time to watch gsons football match.

Itch, glad you made it home safely. I'll be interested to hear about your weather this winter. Looks like our winter has started early this year. Will be 40F here today, but colder by mid-week.
Have a Super Sunday, overs!

Itchy, happy to hear you are finally home with your SH
Mags, good that they were able to stop the test early and hope you can start that treatment soon
FBL, it’s 32 F here right this minute - that doesn’t bother me. I find high temps miserable.
