Steely

You'll have to view SR in desktop mode I think?
go to USER CP (left hand side of the toolbar that runs across the page)

then 'edit options' - scroll down to 'sobriety date'

save changes

Ten years ago I joined the Class of December 2009. I never thought I could get this far, but thanks to the support I found here, I didn't give up! If I can do it, so can you!

On my way home after Xmas lunch at my cousins house, lots of booze going around and lots of talk about wine and craft beers, my cousin lives in wine Country, 2 hours from me. Thankfully I had quite the headache so there was no craving of wine at all and I just stuck to AF drinks. I was at this same cousins house the last time I drank before joining class on Dec 1st so happy to be back and sober and remember the conversations I had with my family this time..
So far this month I've had 20 days sober, I think that's quite good.

I was thinking the same thing strawberry, I am worried about the worst, as we always do when someone doesn't check in for a couple of days..
Hoping they are both OK..

Hi!

Welcome Optimist and Steely!

Congratulations, Red, on not drinking. Those first few days after drinking are really tough. Awesome job slogging through it.

I was wondering about Bob, too. Hope Bob is okay and that he can check in soon.

Coder, thanks for the response. I offer my deepest sympathy for what you and your brother are going through.

Things are slowly getting easier. I am so glad to be sober right now.

Morning all,
I was also thinking that strawberry. Hope they are ok.
Glad you are feeling better

Red- great you got through but I am saying no to such invites to stay sober. Family or not, Christmas or not. If I am around alcohol I will drink

Going for a long walk in the country today. Clear headed. going away for Christmas to a family activity place. Very excited! hoping there will be snow!!

Will check in later. Take care all.x

Well, I guess we're all in this together. I'm on day 3. I won't go into details, but I managed to go to my brother's house and drink for 2 days and no one knew except for my own body. Seems like I want to spare everyone else, but not my own health. Thanks for asking.

And yes Red love, I think having 20 sobers day so far this month is really really good. And sheesh, I may have jumped out of a moving car if I had to listen to that wine conversation. Aussies and NZers.....we sure love our booze.

Go 12vers.....you are all amazing. s ❤️❤️

Hi everyone, welcome newbies, lovely to meet you.
The good news: I have been out and bought lovely mocktails, soft drinks and lots of nice alcohol free wine.
The bad news: Boris and Chairman Meow are in disgrace. One of the little (insert whichever expletive you like here) has peed up the side of their new, previously ignored, Amazon black Friday sheepskin lined, velvet cat igloo. No Christmas turkey for them!

Glad you're back Bob - keep posting, take care.

Sx

Well, you said they didn't like the igloo....guess they are really making their point.

Glad you have all of those AF drinks. And don't forget to put some water in the fridge as well....ice water is just lovely I think. s xx

I'm here - been away for the weekend at a friends new house. Christmas will involve a bit of travelling for me so I won't be on much.

Regards,

JT

Great to hear from Bobdrop and Tony! How about Karen? You ok, friend?

Welcome Optimist!

JT enjoy the holiday.

Bobdrop, welcome back. Do this for you....you are worth it.

Strawberry, Really proud of you for not drinking with the family.

Off to church this morning then lunch with family. Day 13 I think. I will not drink today. Drinking makes me depressed and it gives me terrible stomach issues.
