Long ass afternoons on to tonight. I was in the grocery store, and my wallet was stolen. Yeah, I was approached by a young guy who didn't speak English. He had an App on his phone to turn his Spanish into English. Which I even asked him to put on my phone!
Long story short .... he had me facing one side & then the other side of the cat & dog food aisle. Whole time my purse is in my cart , with my back to it.
When I went to check out and I have no wallet.
At this moment of discovery at the Check Out, my sweet Ken texts me a message he just received from Target. "Did Ken just try to purchase an item for over $600?" WTF!! Turns out Target cleared one purchase, then the Thief came back with an $800 item and that's when Target automatically voided & stopped the transactions.
This Thief & accomplice, tried to use my bank card, Target Card, and 2 other credit cards. All while I'm still in Ralphs! We've been contacting the C.C. Companies etc etc. Police Report, still more to do tomorrow.
We leave Wednesday on a very early flight for our 2 week vacation to Mexico. Thank goodness we have been using Passports for a couple decades now. And, I do have a back & front photo of my D.L. On my iPad. Figurered I'd make a color copy as a back up.
But, the worse is I feel like I was robbed. Feel like I was targeted. Me, with my gray hair looking at cat food. I'm part of the elderly scams I always read about ....
Sigh .... of course, checking in for my next 24. I know tomorrow will be a better day. I'm just whooped inside right now.

Totally echo what Purplrks said, BarbieKen. Apart from anything else at all it's just such a devastating thing to know that someone you took the time to be pleasant and helpful to was in fact just a horrible opportunist. Hope you can put it behind you and have a good break in Mexico.
James - you sound like you're really struggling understandably with the 'loss' of your children. You wrote with such insight and humility I really feel and hope things must get better for you.
24 hours more for me please.
