Weather was nice enough yesterday to get out on the bike, got a decent 12 miles in and didn't even crash! Looking forward to getting out more.

I think we should plan a Marcher retreat every winter at my place. We suffer most of the year but it's weeks like this that make it all worth it - 75 and no humidity.

Good news on getting your asthma/allergies under control! And it sounds like primarily natural - very cool.

Ken, glad you got out there again and extra glad no more crashes!

I was just having a grumpy day, same ol' stuff - aging parents, difficult ex - but am in a much better place tonight. Looking forward to getting a good night's sleep. Oh there is this: I have a job interview Wednesday. I wasn't looking but this interview fell into my lap and I didn't turn it down. While I would miss working for myself the money is kind of too good to turn down. Will keep you posted.

Good luck with the interview tomorrow Duff! We bought our place in Spain to get some winter sun, but as the house gets really cold, we are actually warmer staying here - just no flippin' winter sun! 🤣 we will get sorted one day!

Glad your health issues are under control Suze, I know how debilitating it can be. It's good you are getting settled now.

Budd, I bet you were a bit more careful on the corners yesterday! glad you are able to return to your sport. Is it not your soberversary?

Ken, great that you got out on your bike again!

Duff, sometimes old problems do weigh us down. Hope the interview results in whatever you want

Suze, good to hear your allergies and asthma are settling down.

Toots, too bad it’s colder at your Spain home - is it the house or the outside temps?

It's the house Sass, much of it is dark as it doesn't get the sun on the ground floor. We have air con/heating in our bedroom but nowhere else. If it was lived in full time and the chimney used, the house would be warmer. Quite a few new builds have central heating fitted now, so if we were to move out permanently I would want to sell ours and buy something else. It's fine for visits. Outdoors in winter is still warm enough for tee shirts and shorts - for visitors, locals all wear long trousers and jumpers! Cooler at nights though. Occasionally it does get cold there, I remember the winter we bought the house it snowed for the first time in 30 years!

Hi everyone

How's everyone doing with everything going on? Taking it day by day here. I used it as an excuse to pack my pantry with snack foods so I'm sure to gain a few pounds through this. SO THANKFUL not to be drinking - I saw people filling their carts with beer and wine yesterday. If ever we need clear, healthy heads it's now.

Doing ok here. Our state now has an official case of Coronavirus. There are both good and bad things about living in a retirement community. The powers that be here are taking the pandemic seriously and setting up procedures and temporary changes to reduce the risk. I am most grateful. Of course, living in this environment is inherently riskier. Like so many things, it’s a mixed bag.

Yes I get what you're saying, Sass, but glad they're on top of this. I too have no doubt that you'll be safe. So far our school's haven't been closed yet but I'm assuming that's next.

Just fed up with it all! We are least affected of the European nations here in the U.K., Utd we had planned to travel to Spain on Tuesday for an overdue break, not sure now whether to risk it or not. It's not fear of catching the virus as much as getting stuck somewhere, unable to travel. We are already concerned our trip to America planned for June will be off, but trying to take each day as it comes - no point worrying about possible scenarios. It does look like we might be majorly out of pocket if it is cancelled. We are not alone though in suffering financial implications of this virus, it is going to be a tough few months for millions.
